My wife and i spent her Birthday evening having a wonderful dinner at Satterfield's in Cahaba Heights. The service was excellent as was the food. Definitely one of the best in all of Birmingham. Highly recommend you try it.

Becky Satterfield and her staff provide patrons with perfectly prepared and artistically arranged premium entree choices that change daily in a very calm and quaint environment. In my opinion, the food ranks right there with that of the downtown restaurants tied to Bham's most renowned chef (absolutely no disrespect intended - an amazing chef and restaurateur). Satterfield's has nice wines... More

We stopped by on the eve of the Iron Bowl after checking into our hotel. We arrived before the restaurant opened but were welcomed into the bar. The décor was nice and the service was outstanding. It had been a long day for us to we simply had a few drinks and appetizers at the bar. The oysters were really... More

This was my first (but certainly not my last) visit to Satterfields. The knowledgable and delightful team of DeLois and Jennifer offered great suggestions and delivered outstanding service. Jennifer's recommendations were perfect from the appetizers all the way through to the delicious house-made desserts. The Coddled egg was simply amazing and perfectly prepared. The Venison Osso Bucco was out of... More

I selected Satterfields for a business dinner due to other excellent reviews and local's feedback. We were not dissapointed. They called in advance to verify our reservation, our waiter was attentive without being constantly present (Wish I could remember his name), Our food was cooked to perfection with great flavors. Grouper for my guests, and the Tomahawk Porkchop for me.... More

This was our second time dining at Satterfield's. The first time we ate at the bar where the chefs cook in front of you. I made a reservation this time and noted we were celebrating our 5th anniversary and would love to sit there again. When we arrived they sat us right away at the chef bar. They gave us... More

It's sad to see such a wonderful restaurant - in the past - decline so much in so little time. Yes, the chef that pushed them to the brink of excellence is gone. Where? They would not say. The new chef lacks the ability to offer imaginative offerings. Yes, the tuna was very good. But I would eat Tuna raw... More

We eat here often and are never disappointed. Last week we enjoyed the coddled egg, and charcuterie, salmon, pork and snapper. All done perfectly. This staff goes the extra mile starting with the host and moving to every part of our experience. Our server, Ryan was knowledgable and an asset to our experience. You are missing out if you haven't... More

What a great meal! In addition to the shrimp coddled egg appetizer and braised rabbit we also enjoyed the hickory grilled tenderloin. Cooked to perfection....medium rare as it should be. Service could not have been better. We ate in the bar and enjoyed some single malts and for desert a creamy White Russian. A restaurant where you can relax and... More

Though a native of Bham, I've been away for many years. The food scene there was less than inspiring. My wife and I were delighted to find a restaurant as enjoyable as this. The fritto misto appetizer we shared was okay, but the entrees were superb. Her tenderloin and my rabbit were perfectly prepared! Desserts were in the same category...Crème... More
