Very expensive for this kind of food. We're offered an appetizer we don't ask. Thinking it was offer, we eat it but we had to pay for it. They add water on the check but we haven't take water. They are just robbers when you are tourists. Finally, 100 euros for 2 fish and vegetables and 1 bottle of wine.... More

Nice restaurant with friendly service but food was tasteless and extremely overpriced. Worst meal in Croatia so far; 1 water, 1 bottle of wine and a shared fish platter for 2 was 800kn. They also charge 20kn per person as 'cover charge' which is apparently for bread and pate which we weren't offered but told we had to ask for... More

I heard that locals like here… very nice ambiance… very hearty friendly staff… we served by Mr Nikolo son of the owner special thanks to him. and then of course thanks for Marco… We like very much calamari, and Sailor style mussels… very clean service...

We had a dinner for four with seafood dishes and fresh fish plus one steak dinner. The ambience is between casual and elegant and the prices are pretty high. The next - door restaurant (Dva Ribara) serves similar dishes for less.

We have been passing by Kod Kapetana every night on our way to our hotel. What attracted our attention was that it is always busy. So we decided to try it out for lunch today. The service was very professional and the waiter who served us was very polite and friendly. We got to know that he is the son... More

We chose this restaurant solely for the view it offered and did not even check the menu before entering. For a light lunch we ordered two starters. The octopus salad was definitely not freshly made; what a disappointment. But the smoked swordfish with rucola was just ok. Had planned to order the black risotto to share with my husband but... + nice, friendly staff. Beautiful view. Didn't have to wait long for the food. - the food. The mussels where okay, but everything else we tried was either tasteless or didn't taste good according to our opinion. Charging everyone 20 kn per person for bread and pate when you didn't order it.

We strolled in at around 8pm, soon after the restaurant filled up very quickly. If you are more than two people you are probably better off with a reservation. The food was really good - we had veggie risotto, sea bass and mussels. All of which tasted fresh and delicious. The service was friendly and attentive - they also assist... More

Looks great and like a genuine croatia resteraunt but when you have eqten elsewhere is Hvar its bad. Worst fried squid (which is a croatian specialty) normally all of us have this. It was soggy and floury. Next table has plastic bag inside squid served. Salad a load of bits dumped on a plate. I could cook better with less... More
