I love this restaurant! My wife and I stay at the hotel and enjoy the complementary breakfast buffet. What's best about that the buffet is the variety of authentic dishes which range from breakfast to lunch items that they offer! Everything is so fresh too, their freshly squeezed juices and cut fruits to elaborate Ecuadorian cuisine dishes ! Because if... More

This place has been around for a long time and has not changed its style as it was, is and will be one of the favorite places for locals to visit and enjoy decent, well presented coastal gastronomy.

All the food is delicious! 😊 there is not much to say when I say that all the food is great. We had breakfast and it was very good too. There is a large variety of good things to eat, but for me the best was the tortillas de verde. Coffee is excellent! Thanks for keeping our great Ecuadorian food... More

The atmosphere was just like we imagine. The good food in breakfast was enough for us because we can choose many options for the buffet. We invite you to join us for a great experience and time with the family or couple some days where you will be able to get a good hotel and restaurant.

The restaurant looked busy so we stopped for lunch after walking for over 30-40min and finding nothing near by. The food was expensive, every dish was around US$15-US$20. They serve bread before with butter which was nice. The coke 300ml was US$4.22. Never paid so much for a coke! The waiter who was looking after us disappeared and another came... More

This is a quiet and pleasent place to eat, specially because there is possible to find local food on breakfast beyond international food, which allow the visitor to experience local gastronomy!

This is a busy, hopping fairly priced restaurant popular with both tourists and locals. Everything was delicious. I won't recommend any particular dish because unfortunately two of us got diarrhea the following day which lasted three days. I can't be sure where we picked it up but I hope it wasn't here. We really liked this restaurant. It is directly... More

Description
“La Canoa” has become an icon for tourist and locals alike who wish to sample and discover the best of the authentic local fare, Ecuadorian food at its finest. We receive an average of 48 thousand visitors each year; this year we will have awarded 11,315 days of straight, un-interrupted, 24 hour attention which is truly a record in the city’s Gastronomical circles.
At “La Canoa” you can enjoy a buffet breakfast in Native Fashion or American style with a wide choice of tropical fruits, cereals, dairy products, sausage and meat products, without overlooking an old Guayaquil habit of starting the day with a “caldo de salchicha” or sausage soup or encebollado de albacora” which would be a tuna soup. These cannot be passed up!
