It's been almost a year since our trip to Moorea and my husband and I are still talking about our meal at Rudy's. It was so good we actually went back a second time during our vacation. The mussels were to die for! Great wine selection (especially given how remote the island is!) The service was outstanding. If you set... More

Sid, Rudy's father , seated us and also provided us with wonderful stories of the island and Marlo Brando. The food was excellent.

We were welcomed by the father of the chef; he was our host; he's very proud of his son, with good reason. Absolutely delicious! ...I/we want to go again!

My husband and I ate dinner at Rudy's during our recent visit to French Polynesia. It was probably the best meal we had during our whole trip. From the hotel pick-up to the restaurant service and the amazing food, we had a great experience. My husband ordered their specialty - the parrotfish - and it lived up to the hype.... More

Met by Rudy's father, with apologies for not being to accommodate us on Valentine's Day, I was impressed that he remembered and by the sincerity of his apology. Fried calamari was fair, but everything else including Margaritas and Rudy's cocktail were excellent! The tuna tartar was great. Not bland! Seafood pasta had lots of seafood and a light marinara sauce.... More

Rudy's is a fine local, family-run restaurant which will transport you from your hotel for dinner. Rudy, the owner, lived for several years in the USA and is a humorous host who believes in their imaginative sauces on excellent local seafood. Non-seafood dishes also are excellent. Highly recommended!

Free pick-up from our hotel was a plus. Great atmosphere... almost a 1920s/30s feel to the restaurant. Rudy's father was an excellent host. Most people we ate with said it was their 2nd or 3rd night eating there (and we ended up eating there twice!) We tried the parrot fish, the filet mignon with morels, the trilogy appetizer, a garden... More

We were picked up at our hotel by a shuttle driver at no charge. Then taken to a cute little restaurant just across the street from the water. We were met by the chef's father at the door and seated at a table by the window. He was charming and helpful with the menu ( I am gluten free and... More
