Pros: Nice view and location, friendly bartenders Cons: Food took way too long to come out (~1-1,5 hrs), portion sizes were small, food was average at best, and prices were well overpriced.

Hi Matt: Sorry about your mediocre experience. Can you please message me the date you were at the bar so I can show the bartenders and kitchen staff your review? 1 hour wait for food is ridiculous I agree. As for our drink prices they are on par with other locals bars, but we also give more alcohol in our... More

Friendly staff and great drink prices on the beach in West End Village. The food here is pretty good, too. Really enjoy the live music while watching the sun set.

Have been here few times already and will be back while I'm here. Great drinks and a cool place to meet people right on the beach. They have few chairs and couple small wooden tables on the beach in front of the bar. Just step down into the sand and watch the sunset with a cocktail in your hand or... More

This is a great place to socialize while taking in views of the sunset and beach. They have a beach fire going at night with some tiki torches for nice ambiance. It is a funky bar, leaning seats as the bar leans towards the sea....go figure it's on a beach! They bring out a tv for sporting events and the... More

The epitome of a beach bar! Lively music, great conversations, perfect spot to watch the sun go down. Beach is literally steps away, and lounge chairs are available. Bathroom is across the street and is somewhat primitive though.

Only place on the island that we found that did not serve seafood and the only restaurant we found that didn't take credit/debit cards. Food and drinks were mediocre at best.

Hello: One of your statements is correct: Yes, we do not accept credit cards. The Honduran banks and ATM are notorious for cloning cards and charging vendors 22% (transaction fee and sales tax). So if you have used your card regularly around the island please keep an eye on your statements for the next 6 months or so. We do... More

Aside from the great view, the food, service and prices are very good. We went there twice for breakfast and I can vouch for the Tipico and the Banana pancakes!! Portions are ample, the prices are very fair, and the service is friendly. It's not super fast because they make everything to order. We didn't find any place on the... More

January of 2017, was my second visit to West End. I use Sun Divers to dive and then spend the rest of the day next door at Sundowners Bar. Great staff, great location on the beach with wonderful lounge chairs, a lot of ex-pats and locals always there; I just can't say enough good things about. Even the food is... More

This is not a restaurant per say, more of a beach bar where you can met expats. We have only been there only during the day, it's an ok bar, nothing special.

Hi, Sorry for your three star mediocre experience. No we are not a sit-down, table clothed, reservations accepted restaurant. Never have been, never wanted to be. Sundowner's does not market itself as such. Unfortunately Trip Advisor does not have a seperate category for establishments like mine. What we are is a beach bar with a very popular sunset happy hour... More
