Yummy food, friendly service...good choice with kids.

Great spots for families with kids! We ended up eating at Drunken Sailors four times during our six day stay in Kantiang Bay. The restaurant offers a good selection of Thai and western style food, including brunch and breakfast, which meant everyone in our family was able to find something to eat. The kids loved the breakfast options and my veggie burger was delicious (I had it twice!). The waitress was very friendly and not only remembered us each time we came back, but she remembered what the kids had ordered previously!

This was a perfect foodie retreat. Great food, great atmosphere, great service. Great breakfast foods and late 👌🏽 It was so relaxing and a nice change from the hustle and bustle of all the delicious street food and restaurants we’ve experienced. Loved decompressing here for breakfast and I loved their music.

We ate here every day for lunch when we were in Kantiang Bay. We loved the chilled vibe, friendly staff and mix of tasty western and Thai food. Our kids adored the choco banana frappes and pancakes and our favourites were the Penang curry and glass noodle salad and pad Thai.

Cool spot for breakfast or ice cream

We discovered this cool little place after being lucky enough to win a Lanta Animal Welfare fund raising raffle prize - free ice cream at Drunken Sailors. And what good ice cream it was too - particularly the salted caramel and chocolate & peanut butter flavours. To die for. So good in fact, we also stopped by for breakfast as well. I had a baked eggs dish and my partner a wrap. Both very tasty. The menu offers lots of interesting information too on Thai etiquette, culture, and tips on Koh Lanta. Service was friendly and welcoming. The place is very popular so you might want to get there early to get a table, beanbag or hammock.

Super friendly owners and delicious food

I had a great opportunity to be a frequent customer of this nice and cosy restaurant for a couple of months. I found the owners incredible friendly and communicative. I always felt like I was at home. Especially after a couple of weeks in Asia, one starts to miss the "home food" - in my case European one....and Drunken Sailors always served my needs in this aspect :) Restaurant patio is super cosy and comfortable....and after your lunch or dinner, you can just hang out, drink coffee and enjoy being in beautiful Lanta :)

On a quiet main road , 5 minutes walk to the beach Quite small in size with topiary giving the place a garden feel. Decent food with an emphasis on healthy and sometimes unusual food combinations Very attentive serving staff. Relaxing music

Amazing food chilled zone wonderful owners

Have just got back from a weeks trip to Koh Lanta. Had dinner here twice and two lunches. My 6 year old daughter loved the bean bags hammocks and of course the ice cream. Homemade food including the burger buns with a very cool “drunken sailor” brand. Great pasta dishes and not forgetting the original iced coffee. I would highly recommend this restaurant has been here 10+ years so they must be doing something right.

Eighth visit to Koh Lanta and this is still my favourite place to eat and chill out in the day

Great good, great owners/staff and great to relax. Amazing menu considering the location. I've never eaten anything bad. You can eat western, Thai and some fusion food. Super healthy options and great not so healthy food. Again, considering how remote Lanta is, the quality of the beef used in some dishes is excellent. Good coffee, beers, gin and tonic, chill out. What more do you need?

Delightful and Different

We first visited last year on my birthday and knew we had to go back for some top quality food. We both had burgers, my husband said he can’t remember Erving had a better burger. Compliment in itself! It’s a quirky little place, service with a smile and an unexpected visit from a food snatching monkey. The special rose wine was delicious too and not a small fortune like it can be in Thailand. Give it a whirl, especially if you fancy something a bit different.

Great coffee and cake

We stopped by for coffee and ended up having a few coffees and a delicious slice of coconut cheesecake. Went back a few days later and had a slice of homemade banana bread, which was really good. Great people and a homely atmosphere, always made to feel welcome.

Don’t get Bahn Mi

First meal at this very cute restaurant was great. I had vegan crispy pork and Asian green stir fry. The smoked salmon bagel was great too according to my daughter too. The next visit I tried Bahn Mi it was hideous a soggy roll, a whole zucchini grilled with no flavour, veggies not pickled as advertised and basically not a Bahn mi. Yes it’s Thailand not Vietnam but if you can’t supply what’s on the menu take it off. Staff were lovely

Such a great little space. Right in the village. 5 mins from the beach. Excellent service. Unique menu. Great coffee - and they service alcohol. Recommended for anytime of day. The mango sticky rice cheese cake was a unique and memorable treat!

We love drunken sailors the food is awesome and the atmosphere matches! The staff very friendly and selection of food is amazing, everything we’ve had so far is insane. We’ll keep coming back to try more of the delicious dishes, the açai bowl for breakfast is perfect! Thanks guys

Hammocks and bean bags!

Perfect chill spot for any time of the day, whether you want to eat breakfast, lunch, dinner or just have a drink or coffee. I felt so comfortable there and I loved how I could read my book and enjoy my stay without being rushed. Plus the staff is extra lovely!!!
