If you click on the map in TripAdvisor it takes you to the wrong place. The bakery is approximately 500m further down the road, past the Wat. It's run by an orphanage so you know your money is going to a good cause. The coffee is ok and the cakes are so so however the cheese bread is quite good.... More

The bakery and restaurant have been a part of Sangkla Buri for years with a recent expansion. The cookies and cakes are quite good and the cheese bread should be shared, but not likely after the first bite. The bakery is visited by locals and tourists alike offering a cozy setting for solo travelers, couples, groups and families. The bakery... More

We are family of five (3children and their parents) and currently live in Bangkok. We have heard about Baan Unrak Children's Home and we wanted to visit Sanklabruri. This is a bakery that they run. It is very laid back and cozy, serving good bread. There are some fabric products produced by the orphans. If you have time, we definitely... More

I am a vegetarian so finding food when I travel can be tough. Baan Unrak Bakery is clean, spacious, comfortable, and friendly. I've eaten there many times over several trips to Sangkhlaburi. As their resources are limited and they strive to serve homemade, organic, self grown food whenever possible, it's not always amazing. Some of the meals I've had were... More

Stopped by here for coffee and cake last weekend. I guess the staff are kids from the orphanage; almost no English but it was easy to get by with a bit of sign language - they're shy but really helpful and do their best. The fresh coffee is not great at all - I think they put condensed milk in... More

After eating plain rice and next to nothing for weeks, this place was like heaven! Delicious but simple menu. Open air cafe, book exchange cupboards and they sell their own hand woven items. Worth a visit if you are in town. If you are an animal, support the Baan unrak animal sanctuary which is located very close by- there is... More

Baan Unrak Bakery is run as a training school for children from the home of the same name. It is open every day from 8.00am to 8.00pm and serves vegetarian food. There cakes and pastries are exceptional. Give it a try if you are in the area whilst supporting a good cause.

Very clean, we had banana cake, chocolate cake, cookies - all items were fresh and yummy! We would definitely return. Added bonus: they have a selection of handcrafted items which supports a great cause - I purchased a small jewelry roll for my purse. Definitely with a visit!
