If you are looking to go somewhere a little out there and off the beaten track, head to Sim Sims. It is in the middle of one of the fishing ports near Sandakan Town. We went on a Thursday night, the whole place was packed with noisy dinners, devouring huge plates of fresh fish and seafood. along the circumference of... More

Fresh seafood, taste delicious and price is very reasonable. Came here dinner for two consecutive night. Wet Butter/ Cheesy prawn is a must. Choice might be slightly less compare to sim sim 88 but everything on the menu is so fresh. Will definite come again.

My partner and I came here after being recommended to visit 'Sim Sim' restaurant. Upon arrival at the pier we were faced with infact two restaurant names, Sim Sim 88 to the right and Sim Sim Seafood to the left. This is quite confusing as we were not sure which one to enter! We decided Sim Sim Seafood sounded more... More

We were unsure about trying this 'no frills' restaurant but were not disappointed. The environment is fairly basic but the seafood was great. The only issue for us was that there was no menu. The menu is a series of photos of food on the wall and the waiter did not speak enough English for us to be able to... More

Highly recommended. The steamed fish was fresh and reasonably price. The butter prawn was slightly overcooked but still tasty. Service was excellent.

Highly recommend to order their cheese prawn & Butter fried baby kai Lan!! I like to order their claypot vege with japanese tauhu, rm10 only but grouper fish, squid & prawn in the pot! Worth for money!

I can only vouch for the freshness of the seafood..but I can get the same style of cooking at Resipi Mama, Batu 6 with a much pleasant environment. The hygiene, environment and ambience are questionable here.

We came for Lobster, Prawns and Crab. Each dish was very good. Thomas, the owner is very nice and helpful with choosing dishes. Especially I need to metion that you do not have the feeling that you are getting ripped of because you are a tourist!
