The restaurant provides good food and lodging by the beach. Good atmosphere whether for business or pleasure. During working days which is from Sunday to Thursday in Terengganu, lunch is provided in buffet style. Order by menu is only available late afternoon until night and throughout non-working days. Menu selection is not that broad but sufficient to satisfy your cravings... More

Abit disappointing the food was average. We waited a while for our food to arrive and it was not busy maybe 3 families. When our food arrived we got our rice first and waited another 10 minutes for cold chicken. And then just kept waiting for the rest of our food. Besides that the view is pretty good :)

The restaurant/resort is all new, on the beach, with a nite playground. We ate at the restaurant upstair, furbished with traditional Arab-like shortlegged tables. The food is really good, not spicy hot at all. We had hummus with goat, lamb rice, chicken kebab, fresh fruits drinks and milkshakes. Only downside: maincourse was served before appatizers, and the drinks along with... More

Went to alSafina for a dinner this time around since on my first trip to Kijalena we didn't opted to dine here despite it was recommended by Kijalena host Kak Rose. Despite arabic food is something familiar to us since we have it plenty in KL i.e. al Rawsya, Saba and many more; Al Safina is different. We were surprised... More

On the expensive side but what do you expect when meats are involved. Nice atmosphere & setup. Restaurant is near the Penunjok beach

It is rather unusual to be recommended by our homestay host to this Middle Eastern outlet all the way in this region where seafood is abundant. We ordered a variety of chicken & lamb dishes including kebab, mandy rice & hummus. The men enjoyed their meat thoroughly & I enjoyed the rice & bread with the mix platter of dips... More

Overpriced. Food quality was alright. I had the lamp kabsah, the rice was good but the lamb was cooked in water so it was tasteless. I also had the hummus, it was wetter than I'm used to so I wouldn't recommend it. Moderate service, but they only accept credit card payment above RM50. The worse is the annoying prayer music... A great restaurant hidden in the beautiful fishing village of Kijal. The setting is fantastic and the restaurant well appointed and suits the theme of Arab inspired food. The food is absolutely delicious and the prices very reasonable. A must visit restaurant.

We enjoyed a slow drive along the coast. Kijal is a pleasant fishing village. Small fish dry on mats in the sun. Fresh fish is sold from road side stalls or directly from fisherman. We were struggling to find a suitable spot for lunch, and then noticed cars parked outside Al-Safina. There is outside seating as well as air-conditioned restaurant.... More
