Basic in amenities but superb in food. The South Indian preparations are truly authentic and taste absolutely stunning. Steaming hot "sambhar" adds to the taste of main dishes. Our favourite is "Wada Sambhar " and "Rava Onion Dosai ". Good value for money.

Fast service, hot tasty sambhar with idli and dosa, new varieties of dosas, are some of the highlights. And top it all with a yummy falooda. It opens only on Sunday mornings for breakfast at 8am. Come and I will also show you Banganga water tank nearby - Jagdish Agarwal - Dinodia Photo School

If there is a place you get a excellent South Indian meal, this is it. All the usual South Indian delicacies are prepared to perfection with four different type coconut, tomato, onion and garlic chutneys augmenting the taste of the meal. And then there are the additional authentic items on the menu adding uniqueness to this restaraunt. Start off with... More

A typical authentic south india cuisine destination in western suburbs. Served very gud and hot food. Average waiting time to get a table is 20 mins and as time passes the waiting que gets longer. We almost had every dish on the menu and was served as per our request. A good hangout.

In walkeshwar area this is very good place to enjoy South indian food. Small with good environment restaurant. Sambhar is excellent, idle is just superb. Prices are slightly higher but quality deserve that.

Went there for breakfast. Ordered for masala dosa, mendu wada and masala idli. Good authentic taste, chutney was good. Though filter coffee could have been better. Service is ok.

Dakshinayan is an upscale South Indian joint nestled in Malabar Hills. Best for those who stay in South Mumbai and love a sumptuous South Indian breakfast on Sunday mornings but can't be bothered to go all the way to matunga. The food is fairly decent, though a little pricier than usual South Indian places. The ambience is great and the... More
