My wife and I had the buffet. It was very good as always. The fried chicken was hot and very tasty. The fried cornbread is always hot. They always have great country vegetables on the bar with chopped pork, green beans. We have to go once and a while to get our fill. The building is an old schoolhouse with... More

My husband and I drove about two hours to get here from Birmingham, AL; it is out in the middle of nowhere but it wasn't hard to find. We were here at noon on a Saturday and it was not crowded. The building is charming; clearly old, with sturdy but weathered furniture, and lots of windows in the room where... More

If you want an old fashioned country meal, Red's Little School House has it!! This was my first time here and it is an old school house they turned into a restaurant. It is a buffet style restaurant and I was very surprised how inexpensive it was. $7.95 per person. Friendly staff and very clean.

OMG!!!! The food was excellent. I have not had food like this in over 20 years. Butter beans, black eye peas, snap beans - just like Grradmama used to cook. Chicken Livers, fried chicken, chicken and dumplings - all wonderful! Also available were pulled pork, steamed cabbage, sweet potato souffle, green salad, broccoli slaw, pasta salad. And the fried cornbread... More

My husband & I have been here several times, & it's good everytime! This restaurant is in an old schoolhouse & it is so pretty. It's decorated with items & pictures of that time period. Also has pictures of every single president of the US. They have wonderful home-cooked country style food. And save room for pie too!

There aren't many options to dine out in the area around Red's & I think the service reflects that. They have a where else would you go kind of vibe. Not rude but you're not a priority either. Food was good. Would I go back? Yes, if I'm in the area & hungry because where else would I go?

Red's always has delicious fried chicken and pulled pork barbeque. Their squash casserole is fabulous and they have a well-stocked salad bar. This place is in the middle of nowhere, but it's always crowded--folks come from miles around. The staff is friendly and the old schoolhouse is too cute!

The food was awesome but the friendliness of the staff is what blew us away. We were made to feel right at home. Wish we lived closer so we could eat here all the time.
