We stopped for a late lunch, it had been recommended by locals. Husband is a picky eater, but found the hamburger to be great. He even tried the sauce, dipping his chips into it! And he liked it. I had a Mexican type tomato pie wrap, hot pressed. It was fabulously delicious. We took desert to go.

I had read about the Wildflower Cafe in some articles about small town restaurants in Alabama and there was a menu and article in the information book put together by the family that rented us our cottage. My wife and I had spent our anniversary weekend in Mentone and saved the Wildflower for Sunday as we were on the way... More

Had lunch here in March 2017. Loved the atmosphere but felt the food was just average. The chicken fingers are packaged and they are baked. Not tasty at all. The Derby Pie had been warmed in the microwave so when the cool whip was added it melted. The Peanut Butter Pie was wonderful. I would eat here again and try... More

We are staying in Mentone in our daughter's cabin for a few weeks and eat out at lunch or supper most days. While we've been to the Wildflower many times over the years, this was my first lunch. I had a cup of chicken wild rice soup & tho I never saw a speck of wild rice, the broth was... More

We took my dad to Wildflower for his birthday and I must say, although I have eaten there a few times in the past, I was really disappointed. The parking lot was busy on a Sunday afternoon for lunch but our wait was not too bad. We got chips for an appetizer. Thinking homemade or something but we got the... More

CONS: The parking area was small especially for larger vehicles. We were told the wait time was 15 minutes and it was more like 35 minutes. A party of 3 with no reservation was seated ahead of us along with others. We had 4 people in our party. There were empty tables. The hostess said it was just a mix... More

I will start by saying everyone recommended Wildflower around town so it was hyped up. We went for an early dinner. Server was very friendly. We got the cheese dip which was amazing but filing. My husband got the girls and shrimp. Was just ok. I got the special sirloin. I ordered medium and it came well done. The sauteed... More

In the 16 months I have visited the Wildflower Cafe on three separate occasions. Each visit was the same... an interesting place to have a very tasty meal! The menu has some non-traditional items... so if you're looking for variety in a cozy place... you should plan to stop here for a meal. The staff has always been exceptionally helpful... More

My wife and I rented a wonderful one bedroom cabin in Mentone Al. for MLK Jr weekend. The cabin was very close to the center of the small town. There were several places to eat and we chose Wildflower Cafe for dinner. The cafe is in an old farm house. If you are looking for elegance and up scale dinning... More

Parking could be an issue, but not at the time we went. Walk in on a late Saturday afternoon, asked if we had reservations! They did seat us in less than 10 minutes. Eclectic atmosphere and decor. It smelled wonderful, even from the outside. The waitress was great, the side items could have a few more choices-not impressed. The food... More
