Arrived at 6pm for dinner. Surprisedly, no queue. Inside there was only 1 couple. Rather small restaurant with around 5 tables. Not too sure if there was more tables behind. Restaurant is very authentic. The place tells of the many years of history. Food were awesome. Authentic peranakan food with a homely taste. Will come back again.

We decided to have lunch at Kocik Kitchen, influenced by the good reviews and especially because it serves halal Peranakan Food. The interior gives a certain vibe with Peranakan decor and while it seems small when you enter, there's more room in the back with more tables to cater for larger groups. We had Assam Pedas fish, Chuan Chuan Tofu... More

I have yet to taste amazing peranakan food, and sadly to say that even this seemingly famous restaurant could not change my views about nyonya cuisine. We chose this restaurant in particular because it serves halal food and it is the nearest to our hotel. We had the assam pedas fish, otak-otak and chuan chuan tofu. They were good, but... More

I wanted to visit to Peranakan Restaurant unfortunately it's closed. Just say i'm was UNLUCKY! Atmosphere: so so.. space-less Service: Speechless. Ask us to pay before we are done with the meal. That time was about 8.30pm. Reason was the cashier needs to leave soon. (what is that?!) If your staffs weren't to OT, just close the shop earlier. Found... More

I like the decor and ambience of the cafe / restaurant. Small seating capacity and tastefully furnished like a traditional peranakan home. Ordered: kueh pie tee, nonya Laksa, prawn roll / ngoh hiang, steamed Otah, brinjal. Enjoyed & loved the pie tee and prawn roll. The pie tee shell is crispy & thin. The prawn roll is packed with meat... More

Kocik serves nice Peranakan food with a nice homely feel. Favourites are otak-otak (spicy fish cake) is distinctively different from the usual as it is shaped more like a fish ball. The assam fish is also a must try.

Recommended by our hotel staff, this quaint and popular local eatery did not disappoint. Authentic local cuisine, awesome flavours, cheap and accessible. Be prepared to wait for a table in peak eating times as this seems a favourite haunt for the locals, too. Great simple service that delivers hot, flavoursome food.

Food was really nice with the ponteh chicken sauce cooked just nice. The fish was fresh. Ngoh hiang seemed to be fish paste instead of usual pork meat, perhaps this is a halal place.

Stumbled upon this restaurant while looking for food options in jonker. Travelled as a family of 5. Visited on Christmas Eve, restaurant was fairly crowded at the front. We are a big fan of nonya food, but felt that the food served was mediocre (overall). Ordered the Family Set B if I had not recalled wrongly. You could change one... More
