This place was a great surprise!! We went there fully expecting a hole in the wall bar with good burgers. It was much more. They have a great patio courtyard to sit and eat. They have the attic which is for musicians and comedians. But...More

We picked this restaurant because the shrimp and grits were on the list of meals you need to eat in Alabama before you die. We stopped in about 3:30pm on a weekday and were the only people in the restaurant when we arrived. The wait...More

Thank God everything else in town was closed on Sunday afternoon or else we would not have gotten to experience the blind mule! It has a nice laid back feel to it. The service was great and the food was spectacular. Will definitely be back!

I went to church at the Basilica and hit Google afterwards for a local place to grab a beer and burger. The Blind Mule popped up and being only a block away, it was the place I went. I was the only one in the...More

Had Texas squealer burger and sweet potato fries were delicious. I'm not crazy over sweet fries but these were great. The burger pretty big I can only eat half of one. Need to try this place when u can.

Probably the best shrimp and grits I've eaten. Pretty laid back place with a decent beer selection. The Bloody Mary was very good although a little spicy.

I hate to leave these kind of reviews but go for the beer and the bar. An example: The gumbo was good but when they say with a scoop of rice they mean a half a cup of rice with a little gumbo in it....More

Nice people, good beer, and a great courtyard for having a cigar. We even bought a piece of art. We only had a salad, it was ok.

I'm thinking about hosting an engagement brunch at the Blind Mule for friends. I've never been there but was wondering if the establishment is large enough to host a party of 20-30 people? Is there a party room?

I think there is enough room. They have a dining room downstairs and upstairs, so they may let you have the upstairs for your party.
