We ate here because of the good reviews on tripadvisor, however I wasn't thrilled. We ordered on one side of the restaurant and didn't know they had another side with different options. The tacos were good but not great. I thought it was a bit on the pricy side.

OMG!!! One of the best places in the area. Get the Gulf Burger, fries and yes get the salad (dressing great). This place has the best atmosphere. Just relax and chill. We came 3 times in one week!

The food at The Gulf is good, but the outdoor area is the best on the Gulf coast. There are outside tables, couches, chairs around firepits, and a view of a pass into Perdido Bay that is spectacular.

The menu was very limited -a couple of options written on a blackboard - but tasty. I had a grilled ubiquitous white fish but it came with a great large cucumber/tomato salad. My guest had a tuna dish that was good too. The beer selection is limited. The weather was great and it's right on the gulf. You basically serve... More

The setting of this place is tremendous and really a must see to really feel the atmosphere. Totally outdoors on the Alabama Point with white sand and the beautiful waters of the Gulf of Mexico. Put your bare feet in the sand and relax on a comfortable sofa with your favorite beverage or dine on a picnic table and feel... More

My husband and I went for lunch! Several of the picnic table benches were wet. No one seemed to care. We finally found a dry table and then we had flies biting, yes biting our legs. We moved to a table that did not have grass under it. No more flies. It is the off season and they were not... More

I've never had such bad customer service. Stopped in with friends one beautiful afternoon. We stopped at the bar and each order a top shelf cocktail while we decided upon lunch. The bartender was rude and combative. We would have have another couple of rounds as well as lunch. Instead we finished our drinks and left. Never will I return.... More

We were encouraged by friends to visit this restaurant and it was an interesting and pleasant experience. We would definitely go there again.

This is the most awesome place, bar and food on the beach plenty of seating, great views, friendly people. The only problem I had was my shrimp were not peeled in my shrimp tacos kind of a let down. But if you are a beach lover you must go here at least once in your lifetime!

Our new favorite place to eat (yep, I know, I say that a lot, but when I find another new place that is superb, I want you to know about it!) We had stopped at The Gulf right after it opened, and the outside venue just didn't appeal to us that day. It's built of shipping containers, bright blue ones,... More
