We'd failed to get into the restaurant we wanted to visit in the French Concession and it was getting late by Shanghai standard - about 20.30. Wandering along neighbouring roads we noticed Bellagio and I remembered having read decent reviews. Unlike some reviewers we weren't at all disappointed. It was our first taste of Taiwanese cuisine and we loved it.... More

I think this is one of my favorite restaurants in China. They''ve got an excellect selection of food and it's all great. Service is below par, but I'd say the taste of the food and the selection of the food more than makes up for it!

Its ok restaurant with some good taiwanese food on the menu. In particular i like the fried rice with Chinese sausage, the braised minced pork with egg and the deserts are quite nice too. And they open til late too, so it's perfect for snacks and night food.

Been here countless of times and would certainly recommend this place for the variety and value of the food. Best to go with someone who knows a little about Chinese food so that you don't end up ordering some weird stuff which you'll later complain about when you don't understand what you actually ordered, which happens a lot even in... Stopped here after a long morning of sight seeing. Had coffee and dessert, which were both excellent. It was very pleasant to just sit by the window and watch people go by their day. The staff were very friendly. My phone battery was running low and they were more than happy to charge it.

I was having a hard time finding restaurants on bing.com (since our hotel's wireless internet doesn't give us access to Google) and since tripadvisor.com was working semi well, I was reading up on many reviews. I trusted the fellow 8 commenters who exclaimed that Bellagio was excellent and had great food. I was severely misguided. Let me start with the... More

I have been to Bellagio about 30 times from Feb 2005 through Sep 2007. Their jiaozi (pan fried dumplings), gong bao jiding, shrimps wrapped in cabbage leaves and yu xiang qie zi (egg plant cooked in a clay pot) are a treat. I hope that Bellagio is still as good as it used to be.

I have been to this location twice and both times I have enjoyed my meal there. Although the name was a little misleading for me at first as I imagined it to be a more upscale place, it's actually a more casual restaurant with mostly young couples. The place is quite clean and nicely decorated. As this is a Taiwanese... More

This place was recommended to us for its good food and, indeed, we had a very tasty dinner there. Unfortunately the service was not so great and the atmosphere was reminiscent of a fast food place. The overall experience was flattened to average.

Went there after 9pm..so do expect por service. But food as usual was okay. Porridge came without spoon, soup came and again no spoon...the waitress looks as if i owe her money. No smile and n farewell, no goodbye so they wont see me again there!
