Not a lot of ambience. No real vibe at the Xintiandi location. On the second floor of a shopping mall. But clean, new and fine for lunch. Excellent dim sum. Top in Shanghai!

We ate there for lunch as a family with our tour guide. This place is well known and has multiple locations but this was probably one of the best dim sum restaurants any of us have tried. The soup dumplings were amazing and although they...More

Food was very good. Location (in SWFC - Great building) is convenient but the atmosphere didn’t have much character. I’ve been to the branches in Singapore & Hong Kong. They were better.

Food is good, It is clean. Location is fine. Restaurant attendants are friendly. However its pricing is a bit too high comparing with other same level restaurants' prices.

Always good food and consistent. Taste, service and menu choices are very similar, say in Hong Kong and Shanghai. The feeling is going from home to home. Expect one of the best dumplings in the city. The pork chop is excellent. If you like fried...More

Great soup dumplings (wear a bib!). There was a wide variety to choose from. Good service. Boring ambiance.

Went there with the wife for dinner on 30/11/17. We stumbled on the restaurant whilst wandering around the Xintiandi Mall area. I, being immediately and acutely aware of the queues involved trying to get into this chain of restaurants in my neck of the woods,...More

Went there as a family. At the time, someone had recently reviewed this place as "inexpensive" on Trip Advisor. Might be so if you compare to top restaurants around the world, but for Shanghai, this restaurant is expensive - a $$$ rating would be more...More

Have tried this brand in Taiwan and Singapore and I must say their standard is quite consistent. Had xiao long baos, noodle soup and fried rice. Food was good but certainly overpriced. Staff wasn't too attentive and polite.

The refurbishment of a block of old shikumen into a
carless entertainment center called Xintiandi, filled
with restaurants, shops and bars, turned this area
below South Huangpi Road into one of Shanghai’s most
fashionable areas. Luxe condos house people who can
afford the high-end brands that fill the malls and
shops along Madang Road. The pleasant Taipinghu Park
provides the area with green space and is also home to

Ding Tai Fung does not post their prices online. The queue could be long during meal times, however, they would give you a menu to order ahead of time. This list would indicate the prices to you. It may be slightly more... More
