These are the best steamed dumplings I've ever had, even better than the Hong Kong Causeway Bay location. The dumpling skin is so thin and the flavour of the soup inside the dumplings so perfectly balanced. The Dan Dan noodles are also good here as...More

I eat at this chain with my family quite a few times every year since I first ate here. I always make sure to get one of the following dumplings or chicken soup. I love the truffle and chicken xiao long bao, but last I...More

I had dinner here twice during my recent visit to Shanghai-the pork dumplings were great and quite cheap. Service was very quick and efficient.

I have been visiting this chain for years, our family affectionately calls it DTF. It's tough to find good consistent service in Shanghai but this chain proves that it possible if you have the right leadership and team. The dumplings, chicken soup(with or without noodles)...More

Been to DTF several times over the past years. Hands down the best dumplings - but they get it right to make your experience great - english menus, great service, bright well lit rooms, glass enclosed kitchen where if you take picture of dumpling makers...More

We were taken to this restaurants by friends. I liked the simple ambiance and the service was friendly and helpful. We ordered a number of dishes including their pork dumplings, hot and sour soup, lots of green vegetables, mushrooms, cucumber and pork chops. Everything was...More

Truly the best dumplings and one of my favourite dumpling haunts. The location of this place is really great as it is in the centre is xintiandi and located in a reasonably upmarket yet affordable shopping mall. The staff here actually do speak limited English...More

The xiao-long-bao were good but not great. In Shanghai there are better ones. We went because of name recognition like McDonalds. Similarly it is a chain, but a pricey chain. We felt the quality is not as good as 8 years ago in Taipei. Service...More

You can even find it in Ontario. Save your money and try some local dim sun restaurants in shanghai.

Chain dim sum, consistent and above average. Easy to find location, best option if your not a local. Pricier than a place I would frequentt unless people are visiting. Easy on most peoples stomachs, so at times worth the extra cost.

The refurbishment of a block of old shikumen into a
carless entertainment center called Xintiandi, filled
with restaurants, shops and bars, turned this area
below South Huangpi Road into one of Shanghai’s most
fashionable areas. Luxe condos house people who can
afford the high-end brands that fill the malls and
shops along Madang Road. The pleasant Taipinghu Park
provides the area with green space and is also home to

Ding Tai Fung does not post their prices online. The queue could be long during meal times, however, they would give you a menu to order ahead of time. This list would indicate the prices to you. It may be slightly more... More
