We liked this spot, nice service, attention to detail, and enjoyable surroundings in Jin Mao Tower. Only complaint is the price is steep for what you get. No regrets but we wouldn't go out of our way for the meal. We had a nice anniversary and it's quite memorable. Prepare to open your pocketbook for it though.

Have been to the Sunday brunch on 56 (the grill) several times in the past and always had a good time. Unfortunately during my last visit I was surprised to see that they closed the children's play room, changed the format from a traditional buffet to order as you go (hot items) and raised the prices to boot. The menu... More

We decided to pay this restaurant a visit for their specialty Peking Duck! We were not disappointed. What a delicacy.. Every morsel was enjoyed! If in Shanghai, I highly recommend this restaurant...

Really good restaurant! Food, service, view, atmosphere- everything was just right! As the food was that yummy, gonna start with that. The must try is crab cakes, so juicy and tasty, it was love at the first "bite". Fish, salads, ice cream for dessert were really good too, especially when u pair all those with several bottles of Yalumba wine))... More

56th floor in a 5 star hotel is a sure bet . Well yes actually . The place has , as expected , tables by the window but if you really want that you should reserve beforehand . Also you can watch your meal being done in the open kitchen but not many do . Interestingly there is no table... More

The Grill on the 56th Floor in the Grand Hyatt Shanghai is outstanding. There are 4 restaurants on the 56th floor (The Grill, Cucina, Kobachi and Patio Lounge) and you can if fact order from anyone of them. We just went for the Grill. You have a choice of a number of meats. We went for the Australian, Grain fed.... More

We did the Italian buffet which was expensive for its quality. Drinks were nicely done and worth the prices(high). Pizza was not good. views and would choose for alternative to one of the packed view decks.

Recently had dinner there after arriving from the United States. Service was weak but the food was pretty good. Wine options were very limited for such a high end hotel.

Staying in Lujiazui

Neighbourhood Profile
When people speak of Shanghai’s futuristic skyline, it’s the financial district of Luiazui they are speaking of. Shanghai’s most iconic buildings are located in close proximity to Lujiazui’s elevated ring road and swanky eateries. Sky-high shopping and chic bars fill the highrises around the area. As is characteristic of a world-class financial business district, some of Shanghai’s best malls and hotels can be found in the neighborhood. While everyone on the famous Bund side of the river gazes in awe at these amazing structures, all the buildings here, as well as Lujiazui’s riverside promenade, offer great views of the historic buildings all along the Puxi side. The Lujiazui park often hosts music festivals throughout the year, and park goers can party and stroll in the shadow of some of the world’s tallest buildings.
