This is a small resturant right next to Ritz Carlton. The food is great. This is a great place to grab a quick bite to eat.

Meat quality is good and Fries are delicious however the bread is on the sweeter side which spoils the taste of the meat. The terrace space is nice in the warmer months. Service is quick and staff is polite.

Pretty good burgers, though not the best I've had in Shanghai. I mostly love the location and love sitting on their terrace. They also have excellent spiked milkshakes! Overall...a good option when you're craving a burger and fries!

I don't understand why people are raving about the burgers here. I came with a partner; we tried; it tasted very average. We had 1 cheese burger which was all right; the bun, my partner said, was a tad soggy. I ordered a chicken burger; the fried chicken came in 2 separate thin fried slabs, which tasted quite flat; I... Personally it is the best burger of shanghai. Located on the main shipping road of the city, it has a beautiful terrace to enjoy during the sunny days. Not cheap but great service and quite big choice is burgers.

Meat is great quality!! Fries are thick and delicious. Ketchup is surprisingly good too. Would recommend to anyone that wants a break from Chinese food. The palace is also very nice.

Wen there for an early dinner over the weekend. Sat on their sunfilled outdoor patio. Ordered a portion of macaroni cheese bites and a cheese burger. Food was great. Macaroni cheese bites very rich in cheese, well fried and the burger was very juicy and tasty. I love that they sell their own bottled carbonated water at RMB 8 only... More

Description
Beef & Liberty is our modern homage to the original beefsteak clubs from 17th century London and, we hope, the tastiest hamburger you will have tried in a while.

We are obsessed with hamburgers. We have spent many years trying to create the perfect burger - one that is juicy, beefy, smoky and downright delicious. We think we have succeeded in our quest for perfection we are delighted to share our obsession with you.

We proudly serve hormone-free grass-fed beef. Our beef is from Hereford cattle which are naturally raised by small-scale farmers in the Cape Grim region of Tasmania, which has the cleanest air in the world. Why grass fed beef? Cows naturally eat grass, which produces leaner meat, high in Omega-3 fatty acids and vitamin E. We freshly grind the beef in our burgers in-house daily and serve it on a custom-baked white sour-dough roll. Add friends and family, top it off with some great craft beers, house cocktails or a fresh Liberty lemonade and you've got our version of what a perfect hamburger experience should be.

Welcome to Beef & Liberty, we hope you enjoy it.

Staying in Jing'an

Neighbourhood Profile
Jing'an
The heart of this neighborhood is the Jing'an Temple, while the main artery of excitement and entertainment is West Nanjing Road. Close to the Former French Concession, the area has a similar draw for foreign residents but displays a more commercial character. Large, flashy malls, luxe residential high-rises and trendy nightlife areas can be found along West Nanjing Road, but areas off the busy street have the same quiet cafes and independent boutiques that many people think of as distinctive of the Former French Concession. Jing'an is less encased in amber, though, and it's possible to immerse yourself more fully in the energy of China's most bustling metropolis here.
