Fast food style, small room, 10 small tables, but good food and good service. Good option for lunch. I will definitely recommend.

Absolutely the worst pho i ever tried. Broth have more of tomato paste then water, meat pieces are only fat. Asked for a glass of water, which they brought a boiling hot (in a summer day!) and said they have no cold water. On my request to put ice cubes in the glass, they said they will charge additionally 3... More

We had the Classic Pho, Deep Fried Spring Rolls, Papaya Salad. It was overall good food but it misses the something special. Definitely will go back for some other food. The restaurant is small, so just go with a small party there.

This is a small, casual Vietnamese where we like to go from time to time with the kids. Nem and Pho set lunch pretty good value and the place is clean and warm. May be not the most authentic Pho but we like it!

I ordered some fish cakes and a vegetarian Pho. Fish cakes were just ok, the Pho was good but far from the real Pho taste. Staff is friendly but they just wait for your order. The place was not busy on this Tuesday night and played loud music. This place is just ok if you want quick dinner by yourself,... More

Very delicious vietnamese spring rolls, cold noodle soups etc! The personel were very attentive and we even had a plate of spring rolls for free - maybe because we order so much! They don't get the last 'star' due to the fact that they were sold out on a couple of things and the price is some what high compared... More

After 3 visits, it's about time I write a review. It's a small place, and often full over the lunch hours, 12:00-2:00. They have a nice lunch menu which includes a starter, main and a drink. (60-70rmb). It's a solid lunch place, nothing fancy but clean and good Pho. I selected the Beef Pho, and it was as expected, no... More

Unlike others, I found the service attentive and extremely willing, that her English was spare I cannot fault in Shanghai, and the menu has photos for goodness sake! The food was mostly simple though exceptionally good and quite inexpensive. The ambience is lovely unpretentious though slightly elegant, I thought that the hanging wicker baskets all across the ceiling were particularly... More

Staying in Former French Concession

Neighbourhood Profile
Former French Concession
While there are technical borders to the area formerly governed by the French in Shanghai, the "French Concession" of today is an amorphous neighborhood that is a favorite of the city's foreign residents. While it is mostly within the Xuhui district, residents will sometimes include parts of Jing'an and Luwan in their mental maps of the Former French Concession. The area seems frozen in time, characterized by quiet, tree-lined avenues, French-style villas, interesting boutiques, lively bars and quaint cafes that are not typical of China. All of these mix and mingle with local life as Chinese markets and lanehouse communities are peppered throughout. Denizens of the Former French Concession can spectate a mahjong game on the street or get their bike checked at a tiny bike repair store on the way to their refurbished apartment tucked away among Chinese family homes.
