Now it is re-decorated and turned into a mass feeding low end canteen however prices same or higher then before. The interior is cheap and not clean, the vaitors not stylish, you dont get what you... We have visited this restaurant with a big group with some vegetarians amongst us. They were not helpful at all! At least 4 dishes with meat were presented as being vegetarian and staff did not care at all.

Awesome all you can eat sushi close to People's Square. Sit outside in the summer. Only drawback is that it shuts at 10pm, but I come back every time I'm in shanghai! I've never tried the live teppanyaki as the sushi menu is vast and good but maybe next time.

A very good restaurant with fixed price option which you can eat as much as you would like to, and pay a fixed price, around $30 USD. Reservation is a must. If you go to Shanghai and would like to taste some Japanese food, this place is a budgetary and a good one. I reccommend strongly.

Staying in People’s Square

Neighbourhood Profile
People’s Square
People’s Square brings with it all the excitement you would expect from the town square of one of the biggest cities in the world. The area around People’s Square and People’s Park is always a abuzz with activity. Oceans of local and foreign tourists flow in and out of the area every day to see grand museums, go shopping and eat at some of Shanghai’s most storied food centers. Shanghai residents, meanwhile, live and work in the many residential and office high-rises. While much of Shanghai stays busy late into the night, this really is an area that never sleeps with glitzy nightclubs keeping people up until the wee hours of the morning.
