Cozy small cafe, not pretentious and offering home style japanese cooking focusing on good ingredients. And yes, it has a price in China.

Stopped in while shopping in the area. The coffee was amazing and the cups are all handmade! Try a green tea dessert. We had lunch while we were there and the food was pretty good. However, I highly recommend the coffee!

There's a welcoming quaintness to this cafe that I really love. To get to the upstairs window box you head up a stairway / ladder that's difficult to describe - good fun but probably nerve-racking if you have a dodgy hip. The service was very...More
I am a big fan of the Japanese cuisine and it was absolutely delicious. The sushi was great and the green Udon noodles also very yummy. When you're there, try the special coffees which are very very rare and hard to find all around the...More

Favorite restaurant/cafe in the entire world. Delicious, humble, and simple Japanese food. Don't miss the green-tea udon noodles, kelp salad, ochazuke with salmon, matcha cake, and of course the coffee (I suggest the Yemeni varieties).

The food was not bad but I felt it was a tad pricey. The service was slow at first (to bring us the menu) but afterwards, the waiter was nice to stand beside our table the whole time. Some may find it disconcerting but we...More
