We followed the many positive comments and were not disappointed at all. The food was tasty and of very high quality. Though some here say that waiters lacked English skills, this did not match our experience. A great first experience in Shanghai

As usual, the restaurant is proving very good quality food and service. I recommend it without any hesitation as one of the best restaurant in Shanghaï. And also one of the nicest.

The place was worht visiting; we were very happy with the site, the service, but, we struggle with the waiters to communicate since almost no one spoke english. Food was great and cocktails too.

Came here for what turned out to be one of the best meals we had in China. Great service, great interiour decoration, and what's most important, some excellent Yunan cooking. Highly recommended!

My partner had been the night before and bought me for lunch the next day. The cocktails are beautiful and a bit different. We went for lunch and had the lamb somosas, the pork and some prawns - All three dishes were beautiful. Lots and lots of options on the menu. A really busy place but service is fast and... More

Puzzle this Batman: part bakery, cafe, wine bar and large grocery store with a great roof top terrace. Dark, moody and superbly designed interiors bewilder as much as they delight. Don't try to figure it out... Just dive in as everything on offer is lovingly selected and prepared.

A perfect restaurant for groups or couples. Nice atmosphere, dim light and very good food. It's somehow a mix of Chinese and Thai food. I love the starters, the samosa, veggie pancake, all of the spring rolls, the eggplant, the pork ribs, the minced pork that comes with lettuce and the triangle rice. The eggs and mushroom is also good.... More

Everything was smooth. From ordering to enjoying some good Asian / fusion cuisine. Would return next time in Shanghai- a good address for those of us who are risk adverse and looking for ambience and good food

Staying in The Bund

Neighbourhood Profile
The Bund
While there are certainly many other “bunds” in the world, “the Bund” refers to Shanghai’s famous waterfront. The area’s Gothic, Art Deco and Beaux Arts monoliths were built when it was part of the Shanghai International Settlement run by the British and Americans. The atmosphere of colonial-era luxury has endured over time and is now found in the five-star hotels, luxury brand boutiques and expensive restaurants that can be found within the historic buildings. A cultural center has built up away from the water and some of Shanghai’s best art galleries and museums are housed close to the Bund. Nighttime views of Pudong and the rest of the city also make for a great backdrop at the many rooftop clubs.
