After walking 10 km in Shanghai, we arrived in the Bund by nightfall enjoying the fantastic skyline. We did not try the restaurant but chose the bar instead. The place is charming with nice views on the illuminated buildings. Fantastic Gin Tonic choices and other cocktails in a old England atmosphere. We decided to have diner in the bar and... More

Love love love Shanghai! Like blade runner without the punks n rockers. This restaurant is fab, beautiful views of the French quarter (I think) whatever the view is of, it's great! Food and drink is class too.

Dinner is good, but pricy. I has Libanese stew, which was very wellflavoured. Scallops as starter were OK. For that money however, you cand find better places at home in Europe. But off course, you pay quite some money for the view, which is very nice in the evening. Most of clients were foreigners. Very attentive staff.

This one was the first western restaurant on the Bund. The view of the river and across is amazing, the ambiance is warm and has a nice energy to it. good place for people watch, the food is fairly average but the rest makes up for it.

The service was outstanding as was the atmosphere in M. The food was not cheap but was really good quality and you get what you pay for. Its a place to go for a treat, unless you are super-rich, and we really enjoyed a special meal. One down-side and it felt like a rip-off was the price of water; two... More

I could not fault the view (stunning) nor the ambience (comfortable) nor the service (impeccable) but the food let's M on the Bund down. The food is good, but not good enough to justify the prices.

The view from the restaurant is fantastic. It also has a great patio. The food was presented beautifully, but everything was very salty. Staff was very helpful and immediately changed my oversalted steak dish to fish. Overall I would recommend it for a business meeting or dinner with friends and family.

Thank Мария Г

Staying in The Bund

Neighbourhood Profile
The Bund
While there are certainly many other “bunds” in the world, “the Bund” refers to Shanghai’s famous waterfront. The area’s Gothic, Art Deco and Beaux Arts monoliths were built when it was part of the Shanghai International Settlement run by the British and Americans. The atmosphere of colonial-era luxury has endured over time and is now found in the five-star hotels, luxury brand boutiques and expensive restaurants that can be found within the historic buildings. A cultural center has built up away from the water and some of Shanghai’s best art galleries and museums are housed close to the Bund. Nighttime views of Pudong and the rest of the city also make for a great backdrop at the many rooftop clubs.
