We stumbled upon this place while walking through Fortuna and we were very happy that we did. My husband and I both got Casada (vegatarian for me and chicken for him). It was the best casada we had the entire time we were in Costa Rica! We loved the mashed yuca and you can't beat the price.

I got a pizza, I must say that it looked more like a crepe extended, I'm all for a thing crust, but not a paper crust. The taste was good.

We wandered in here even though we wanted to go to soda vizquez which we had visited 2 days before (and was excellent!) but they were out of beer and we needed one after cerro chato. My fish was dry and my boyfriends pizza was greasy. I only ate 2 bites of my meal and pushed it aside. The manager... More

Sat at a long communal table open to the outdoors. Order was up very quickly, tasted just fine and was a meager $6USD.

We went there and ordered some pizzas. They were not really pizzas like we knew from europe, there was only cheese on the top and no tomatoes or mashed tomatoes. It was also very loud because the street is near and 2 TVs are running all the time. Price was OK. Die Pizza war das, was man in DE/CH einen... More

We had dinner here on Tuesday, January 27, 2015. The food was cheap (less than $20 for 2 people). Sadly , out of all the places we ate at during our stay this was the worst. Portions were good but the food was lacking.

After going on a tour of the Arenal National Park and hot springs we were ravenous. Having passed by La Parada several times before we noticed it was always busy. After eating there we understood why. We ordered a large pizza which was absolutely loaded with cheese, meat, and vegetables!! Order a large if you are really hungry but be... More

Food here was just OK. Not impressed. Typical Tico food, nothing special. Price is on the slightly higher end considering the food they offer. Didn't try their pizza, but saw some Ticos in there for the pizza.

Ate here after a long days hike. The place was busy and we'd walked past a few times so decided to try it rather than spend a long time searching out options. Wish I'd hiked further. I struggle to understand some of the reviews acclaiming the food at this place. Albeit, I only had garlic bread and pizza, but the... More

Whenever I travel I always like to taste the local food. THis place is great. Now, a tip. WHen you get in go to the LEFT, they have a small buffet used by the locals mostly. On the right is the FULL SERVICE Restaurant, and you will end up paying more for more fancy food. On the left you will... More
