We ordered fried seafood (jalea real) worst batter ever and over fried. Arroz chaufa especial was like 80% rice and 20% protein and honestly not good. The grilled chicken was drenched in oil and so where the vegetables and mash potatoes. The only thing that was good was the ceviche and it was 2x1. Service was terrible which made the... More

Wandered in to Ceviche del Rey simply because we were tired and hungry and it was there with a parking lot. What a wonderful experience. The atmosphere, the decor, the service and the food were beyond excellent! The ceviche was delicious and fresh and the arroz con pollo was incredible. The portions were enormous so we had some leftover to... More

Restaurant has a great location, set-up and even the ambiance to be stellar. The Nazca Lines glyphs on the walls are also worthy of perusal. We had our final evening dinner there and it was less than stellar. The ceviche was advertised as 2-1 on the board outside in large print, but when asked it seemed a mystery to the... More

We went to Ceviche del Rey and the food was great, the service was excellent. After talking to Mr Salazar he suggested a few things to eat and they were really good. If you are planning to visit Costa Rica you must go to this place. We will go back again.

Nice ceviche. Good pasta with seafood and beefheart. Parkplace in front. They said that the paymentmachine for creditcard is broken but it is just a way too let you pay cash in dollars and ear more ! Just say that you don't have that cash with you and the machine is suddenly 'fixed' 😉...

Nothing here stood out for me. The food was okay, service was okay. Maybe I'm spoiled, but I like to encounter something different when I'm away from home. I did not find that here.

This restaurant was recomended by our hotel as we were lookin for ceviche (we were tired of having "casados" at lunch and dinner). The restaurant is a good 15 minutes walk from the center of La Fortuna, the service friendly but the cadre and food average.

There were 9 of us hardly anyone had anything delicious. Everything was okay, if you like good food, not for you! Go to Snapper's House or almost any other place. La Fortuna has a fair number of good restaurants!

Visited Ceviche del Rey after a day of hiking in the Arenal area, and it was just what we needed. We were a little anxious since we were the only ones in the big restaurant, but the food was very good, nice beers, and the service was perfect and friendly. Can only recommend this place.

We stopped in for a light meal between hiking locations. Loved the octopus and shrimp ceviche. Service was friendly, waiter spoke good English. Great open air dining space.
