We were 4 adults that had different casadas & everyone enjoyed their meal. They are well located at the first corner off the beach & the service was great.

Look no further for traditional food and fantastic prices. Don't let the downhome look fool you, this was our best meal of our trip.

Stopped here for breakfast based on a recommendation from a local. Place is right across from the beach. Offers indoor and outdoor seating. Service was quick. Great coffee. I had the omelette - ham & cheese - very nice. Spouse went traditional with eggs and beans - enjoyed it. All in, breakfast, coffee & a side of back was UD$20.... More

Mar Bajo Casado (Sea Bass) A casado (Spanish translation is "married man") is a traditional Costa Rican meal using rice, black beans, plantains, salad, a tortilla, and an optional entrée that may include chicken, beef, pork, fish and so on... Many believe the Casado term originated because the "married man" patrons wanted to be treated to a home cooked meal.... More

Playa del Coco can be rather touristy & American - Soda La Teresita is the perfect antidote to that. I was advised to eat here by my Dive School...and I think the advice was bang on. I had the Casado con Pescado (Meal with fish) twice and, at C3,500, I think this is one of the best bargains in town.... More

We have been coming to Coco for 10 years but decided to try La Teresita for breakfast because of the reviews. Friendly owner greeted us and we had a table overlooking the beach. Typical or American choices. Fast delivery. Very average food (we all had typico) and no refills offered on our coffees. Not sure if we will try a... More

I eat there all the time when I go to Playas Del Coco. The owner is very friendly. The food quality is good for the price. Great value.

Popular Soda located on main drag and very close to the beach. We dined here after reading the reviews on trip adviser and suggestions from locals. Small family owned local business that serves typical "tico" food. We each had a Casado meal - rice, beans, vegetables, a meat, a small salad and plantains. Definitely a filling meal. Add a few... My husband had the sea food soup which was large enough for 2-3 people! It was huge!! I had a plate of grilled parrot fish which came with fries, steamed vegetables and a salad of cabbage and fresh cucumbers. No alcohol here except for beer so I opted for tamarindo juice. I thought I'd be hungry but once I finished... More

Don't let the small and simple look of the family owned soda deter you. Cosada de pescado was muy bien. Fish plate. Fried fresh snapper, i asked for dos pescado and it was perfect for a big guy. Carmelized plantain, rice and beans, a lightly pickled simple salad, and some spicy pickles vegetables at the table. Hot sauce was great.... More
