The hotel is nice, it's close to the beach. The service was amazing. The staff members are really lovely and kind and they're always happy to help, and the food is spectacular!

Our third trip to Costa Rica and we have eaten at this restaurant multiple times on all three trips because it is FANTASTIC!! Great cocktails, fresh and tasty food, and friendly staff. The kids in our party were as happy with their food as the adults. They have fresh Costa Rica fusion-style food as well as pasta and pizza. I... More

Wanted to enjoy the mango mahi mahi but arrived on Italian night. Guess I'll have to go back. Had the Hawaaian pizza, with a slightly different take ... add a touch of rosemary. It worked. And now I also have my new 'goto' summer drink. Muddled watermelon and vodka!

Went to dinner as a group of 10, we ordered drinks and it took over 30mins to even get them. We asked the waitress what she recommended and she had nothing to say except "order seafood pasta , I guess it's ok" when we finally got our food we had missing entrees and dead clams on one plate, the seafood... Do not waste your time! Drinks take 30 minutes to get to you....even a coke or a Fresca! Food was okay, pizza was good but the pasta was flavorless! We had dead clams on 2 of our pasta dishes! Our waitress was rude and laughed at us when we tried to voice our concern for the lack of service and... More

We went to Cantarana for dinner one evening as it was a short walk from where we were staying. The seared tuna entree was excellent, however, the tropical Greek salad that a few of us ordered as a starter came out with blue cheese instead of goat cheese with absolutely no warning or asking us if we wanted to choose... We stayed here for 2 nights and enjoyed breakfast both mornings. The restaurant is upstairs and has a great view of the boutique hotel, palm trees and wild life. Food was very good and service efficient. There is also a daily smoothie bar that was delicious also, with any combination of fresh fruits.

Everything was so good. Tapas night on Thursday is not to be missed. Ceviche is some of the best I've had and the staff are all so nice. You must eat here!

The pizzas are decent but not large. Food is OK, prices relatively high and the largely volunteer based staff is very uninspiring. Not a place to visit unless you live next door and feel very lazy.
