Spotted this gem while on vacation! A must! I had the Curry shrimp and my husband had the Classic along with the passionate screw cocktails. You can’t go wrong here.

The Shrimp Hole is so delicious! The cozy atmosphere and service were perfect for a double date dinner. The shrimp tasted so fresh and flavorful! I would highly recommend for any shrimp lover. Additional bonuses: the straws and forks are all biodegradable ❤️🌎

The best food I have ever eaten and by far the best place in Costa Rica! We both had the jungle curry and a gin and tonic, literally could have eaten it over and over again. 11/10!

Omg! Off the beaten path, by the dirt road we found heaven! Orders the jungle curry and banh mi and the flavors were out of the world! I will eat here 10 more times before we leave! Cheers with the wooden forks!

Food was pretty expencive for what you got. The side for the burger was just chips out of a bag. There are better places to eat

What a great little place. Stayed at Park Place so was very close. Price is a little high but so is the quality. Excellent and pleasant young lady that waited on us both times. Mojito was supper. Running a limited menu but plenty options. Thanks!

Honestly the best shrimp curry I've had since I was in Thailand. So nice I actually had it twice, two days in a row. Super small, but friendly. The drink I had was called a screw? something.. was a fantastic mojito

Thank frostyhair

The Shrimp Hole - small and casual restaurant with a sunny deck, situated only a short walk from the beautiful beach of Tamarindo in Costa Rica and on the way to Langosta. Established in 2014 by a young, food loving couple, who grew up in Europe and travelled the world before opening their dream restaurant in Tamarindo. This tiny, tropical, thirteen seater, 'hole in the wall' restaurant, beneath an yang yang tree serves a simple but mouth watering menu: Only the freshest, sustainably farmed Costa Rican shrimp, sourced directly from fish markets in Puntarenas, served in delicious, handcrafted sauces that are made fresh, from scratch, every day. We also have a delicious Bahn Mi Sandwich as our famous Lunch Special. We serve our juicy shrimps with steamed rice and a selection of fresh salads. You can also enjoy a variety of home made lemonades. ... It's the ideal after surf spot to kick back and relax after catching a few of Tamarindo's famous waves. You can grab your food to go and stroll down to the beach to watch the waves or sit on our sunny deck, watch the world go by, and experience the best outdoor seafood dining in the relaxed atmosphere of Tamarindo. We make every effort to be as sustainable as possible, using only the best, locally sourced Costa Rican ingredients in our kitchen.
