This is a small place, with a restaurant that is not as well advertised as other places (you can easily miss it). Small number of tables, so reservations recommended). Excellent fish. Nice salad. No views, so good place to go for a later dinner (where the great ocean views you can get elsewhere are not relevant). Decent service.

Not much you can say that is not praise about Villas Nicholas. Sitting in our spacious one bedroom with terrace over looking the Pacific Ocean and the jungle. The people are nice, pool is pristine, rooms are clean, small intimate setting, even the dining area turns out to be a perfect choice after a long day of adventure in Manuel... More

Very nice little place near the center of town. Food was excellent and service great. View of the ocean if you go before sunset. I had the tuna with wasabi and my wife had grouper with the sauce. Both were fresh and tasty. Tab wasn't too bad.

We wondered by Villas Nicolas and saw the sign for the restaurant and decided to give it a try. My boyfriend and I both really enjoyed our meals - he had the pork which came with a really delicious sauce and I had the catch of the day in the garlic sauce. Both really tasty and fresh with great flavor.... More

We were a small group and all ordered something different. Service was very good and we were not rushed. Presentation of all dishes was good and the food was spiced nicely and cooked as ordered, some dishes under-cooked but perfectly cooked as requested. All portions were good except the tuna was a little on the small side. Veggies were steamed... More

Hands down the best meal we've had in Costa Rica. A small, very intimate atmosphere with a chef who is both friendly and knowledgeable. There's limited space, about 5 tables and the bar. This is definitely a restaurant you need to eat at.

Not many tourists know of this restaurant as it is a little hidden, but it was by far our best meal in the Manuel Antonio area! Everything was fresh and local!

This place was amazing!!! The coconut margaritas were awesome and strong. We had yucca fries, nachos, Brie quesadillas that had mangoes in them, and ceviche. For dinner I had the chicken burrito. And for dessert we had hot bananas with ice cream. It was al delicious and it was the best restaurant that we went to when we stayed in... More

Few people know about this place in Manuel Antonio as it is found inside Villas Nicholas Hotel. The restaurant is called El Rancho and I am weary of writing this review because this is a hidden treasure. Most patrons of this place are often those who have booked a place at the Villas, therein lies why this place is spectacular.... More

The chef really know how to prepare tuna. Friendly staff, reasonable prices, ambience, beautiful surrounding. We ate there 3 times already, always consistent.
