Stopped in here for a few last drinks on the last night of our trip to Costa Rica. So glad we did. Latin band grooved HARD and as a musician I was thoroughly impressed by the talent and quality of the live entertainment. Drinks were not cheap but not unreasonable. Excellent night - went intending to stay maybe an hour,... More

We stumbled upon this club while bar hopping in the neighborhood. Good sound and sight lines. Calypso band and was OK, but we understand there are not a lot of options in San Jose. Fine drinks and wait staff. Note - there is a different bar called Jazz Cafe in Escazu, which has rock bands.

We went on a reggae / ska night randomly. Music was good, crowd was a little eccentric but it was good fun. Drinks were good, service was a bit slow and it wasnt packed. Was a good laugh though.

We went on a thursday night and weren't expecting too much, we just wanted somewhere to eat and chill. However, we got an incredibly talented beat-boxer and a very entertaining rock band. It wasn't quite jazz, but I really liked both performances. The live show started at 9pm (we thought it was 7pm so we got there way early) and... More

Two weeks ago I went to Jazz Cafe Escazu with my son for a rock music concert with local bands and really like this place it is small for no more than 500 persons. It has two bars and one VIP side in the second floor I didn`t try the food but it looks ok, the prices are good it... More

We went for the jazz, had a terrible and wobbly table and flaminco dancing instead of jazz. Very disappointing - confirm the entertainment before enterring.

You can ALWAYS find live music in either San José or Escazú! Jazz Café features everything from jazz, rock, tropical Latin music, fusion, world music and more!! Food is NOT the best so I suggest you go have dinner at a nice restaurant before the concert and then go have a great time with live music. You should always try... More

Offers a variety of music and at times an open mic night. There two, one in San Pedro and the other in Escazu. The entrance fee keeps rising, which is a little disappointing and the menu prices are average for this type of place. The food is fairly good and the service is always friendly. If you go a few...
