Wow, the rooms are huge with a separate living room. The deck and those stunning views are breathtaking. The food served in the restaurant was tasty and reasonably priced for the remoteness of the island. I would definitely go back as it great value.

We were torn between the Pacific Resort and the Tamanu Beach resort, but went with Tamanu Beach as it was bundled with the vacation package we chose. On Rarotonga one of the locals cringed when I told him we planned to stay there. He said it was owned by the Henry family which was active in local politics, but there... More

The restaurant is not very big and has a familiar taste. Staff is very friendly and efficient. Me and my wife have been there on the "Island night", which is a special evening on Thursdays only. The owner hosts a "talk/speech" that entertains guests until the dinner buffet is ready. The quality of the food is high and the dishes... More

Aitutaki is like going to heaven, with its beautiful teal blue lagoon and wonderful laid back lifestyle. Our stay at Tamanu was just so special with the suites all laid out so every one has a sea view. The suites are well appointed with cooking facilities, and are comfortable and clean. We stayed on the 100 numbered side with a... More

The food at the Tamanu gives the taste buds an enjoyable time. We stayed five nights and enjoyed the quality of the food each time. The highlight for us was the traditional feast and cultural show which showcased the local cuisine and culture spectacularly. The only negative with the restaurant was price however it was comparable to the rest of... More

My wife and I tried this place for dinner one evening and were very disappointed. The staff were very friendly when we arrived and were very attentive until I asked if I could have my meat cooked a bit more, I don't like it blue. Anyway I not sure if it was my meat that came back or not because... More

We recently were at Tamanu's resteraunt for breakfast. The service, while very friendly, was terribly slow! The food was average. They need to find a chef that can actually cook eggs. The omelettes were runny and we had to ask for our toast. The waitress had no idea the out selection came with toast. We had to tell her to... More

Lovely, welcoming staff. No pressure to buy up big, although the daily telephone call to accommodation guests see if you are attending dinner, whilst necessary from their end, became somewhat tedious and a little imposing for us, who chose just to do lunch or dinner, not both. Breakfasts are basic - cereal, toast, papaya/paw paw (to die for!), coconut strips,... More

Description
Tamanu beach has a beachside 60 seat Bar & Restaurant. We are open for breakfast lunch and dinner with a simple Island style menu. Our feature Island Nights every Thursday are a highlight of Aitutaki dining. Sunday is a relaxed family bbq buffet. The specials menu changes regularly with the freshest catch and seasonal fruits. We do pretty good coffee (getting better every day!) and our sunset cocktails are very tempting.
