Great place to warm up, have a beer and some food after a chilly whale watching tour. The fish dip was out of this world!

We had a rainy, windy day in Juneau so our excursion was cancelled part way through. Decided to check out this western style saloon to pass the time and we are so glad we did. Starting with the swinging saloon doors and the sawdust on the floor everything feels like you just walked into a saloon in a mining town... More

We were in Juneau on a cruise. We didn't have an excursion planned, so we just walked around town and had lunch at the Red Dog Saloon. The food was good, different that ship food! Our waitress was great, very attentive. There was a singer who did a nice job with the saloon type music and had a decent voice.... More

Staff is raucous but fun and attentive. We all had the Fish & Chips and hubs and I split their Pale Ale. All was delicious. Decor is hilarious and the piano man was great. We would go back. Wonderfully warm on a cold, very rainy day. The folks there work very hard so left an extra tip--I beg others to... More

A lively atmosphere in a historic pub from swinging doors, walls and ceiling covered to memorabilia, sawdust floor, to waitresses dressed as saloon girls of a past era. The slightly bawdy piano player and singer was very entertaining. Not sure I'd recommend for families with young children. Go with the right attitude and enjoy. .

Stayed over Saturday night to visit the area. First time to Alaska for myself and two other friends. We happened across the red dog salon and found it to be just what we were looking for. Great dinner. Friendly atmosphere, our server did a great job. Even spent some money in the gift store. Food was awesome.

A visit to Juneau would not be complete without a visit to the Red Dog Saloon, enter the swing doors and tread through the deep saw dust, to a time gone by and enjoy. Don't forget to visit the merchandise shop for a memento of this very special visit of an Alaskan institution.

This place gives a good insight into what early days in Juneau would be like. There was sawdust on the floor & a great rustic atmosphere

The Red Dog Saloon is a neat place to sit down and enjoy a cold beer after shopping.it is located less than a block from the cruise dock. The bar is full of memorabilia including Wyatt Earps pistol.
