The Wildflower restaurant in Talkeetna alaska is closed and building is up for sale. As of Nov. 2016. Great looking building located on Main St. Hopefully someone will open back up again because there may not be enough restaurants in Talkeetna to feed the many visitors.

Everyone said that this was the place. And all the tourists were here. Looked like a good bakery when we finally got to the counter to see it. Long communal dining tables were nice as you were able to meet other travelers, when we finally found a place to sit. To be fair, it was raining, and everyone was crowding... More

Generally stop in here when in Talkeetna. The food is consistently good, the service is spotty but nothing to complain about.

This was a lovely stop, with Fresh Fish and ice cold beer.. (great combo).. the staff was pleasant, and the surrounding busy with tourist and laughter... if your looking for a nice place to get a good meal, look no further... this is the place to stop while in town!

Our hostess at our hotel recommended The Widflower Cafe. She described what the chef does to the food is magical. The portions were generous. The service was friendly. We ate outside, as the weather was gorgeous. A very good experience.

Great food, good service, but like everything in Alaska, the food is very expensive. I know, I know, shipping costs. How does that explain 36.00 for Halibut?

It looked good from the street. We stood for a while at the entrance and when someone came we were told there were no tables at the moment. We asked could we sit at one recently vacated that still had the recent occupants. He said OK. We sat. And waited. After 15 minutes the table was cleared. After 20 minutes... More

Food was good, however very expensive. $20.00 for cheese pizza and then another $3.00 for each additional topping, we walked out of there bill was over $40.00 for pizza and one beer for 2 people. Service was very slow. They were somewhat busy, however lots of empty tables. Waitress was very good. Would recommend trying somewhere else first.

This is a pretty small restaurant on the main drag in Talkeetna. The food options were higher end, with real meals, versus fast food style meals. There might be about a dozen tables inside the restaurant, and another dozen outside, on the patio. Depending on weather, I could see how that could cause issues. The space inside the dining room...
