We arrived to a warm welcome and quick and efficient service. The Sunday lunch was generous in its serving, nothing pretentious about this food! Well cooked and served with a smile! We expected a cheesecake slice for pudding, but pleasantly surprised to have a delicious home made cheesecake. A lot of effort in homemade food and excellent service.

Tasty Sunday lunch and they're large portions so you'll definitely leave feeling full! We couldn't even fit in desert. Friendly staff. If we were nit picking, the only thing I'd say is not to dine upstairs.. it was cold and I spotted a few cobwebs, also as we were the only ones there (downstairs was busy so by no means... More

Turned up and had no problems getting a table so we ordered the wife had a lamb balti with rice and I had sausages with mash and gravy both of which were guickly dispatched. With a pint of soda and lime and a still water it came to £24.95,and worth every penny as we thoroughly enjoyed the meal.

My parents often go here for Sunday Lunch & always comment on it being the best in the area. We joined them to try it out. Absolutely agree with my parents! Very tasty and generous amount. Will definitely return

If you're on a diet, don't come here, the portions are enormous. We came on a Monday night and the pub had a good mix of drinkers and eaters. Service was friendly if a little bit slow. There is a whole curry menu and then a more conventional pub grub one. We had a curry, a pie and lamb chops... More

If you're hungry, this is the place to hit for a generous Sunday lunch. Quality tender beef, crispy Yorkshire pudding and flavoursome gravy. The vegetables are something else! Cooked perfectly and a change from the norm. The sweet potato was really good, cabbage in a great sauce and cauliflower cheese simply moreish. The only trouble is trying to wade through... More

Came here one evening for a curry whilst staying in Dinas Cross. Warm reception, friendly staff and good service. They were really helpful with one meal being dairy free (which can be hard for curries!) and we were assured it would all be made fresh which was encouraging. Food was lovely. Don't worry about the naan bread though as it's... More

We had lunch here whilst visiting Newport. The menu was extensive for a lunchtime and the portion sizes were very large! Good quality of food, well cooked and reasonably priced. Service was good, friendly and efficient.
