Just spent a beautiful afternoon in the botanical gardens; rounded the day off with a visit to The Milk Plum Cafe. What a bitter end to an otherwise sweet day: ordered a cold non-dairy smoothie and received a smoothie containing white hot chocolate from a waiter William, who proceeded to rudely insist that it is made as per instruction. William... More

If you'd like to sit outside in the cool shade and lazily munch a lunch in amongst lush gardens and birds a-singing, then this is the place for you! Their service is commendable too.

Lovely to sit out and eat under the trees. Despite writing our order down, some of the order was incorrect and we had to wait for the correct items. Large portions, fresh food. Large milkshakes - coffee milkshake was very good.

On visiting this restaurant for the first time in many years my wife decided to entertain our close friends there for her birthday. She decided on a brunch in the smaller undercover entertainment areas due to possible bad weather. As it turns out the morning was perfect but the doors opens on both sides inviting nature inside. The setting in... More

Everytime I go to the Botanical Gardens, I have something to eat or drink at Milk Plum Cafe. I have also attended several birthday lunches here and have always been very satisfied with the food, cakes, etc.

We had a friendly waiter and the food quality and presentation was acceptable, BUT the menu items are over-priced and although the restaurant was not full, we waited unusually long for orders to arrive and ended up with a R24 phantom charge for "extra mushrooms" that we never ordered, but was fortunate to realise before paying.

I visited Milk Plum Cafe for dinner after a long day of conferencing in Pretoria. This is a great place for evening events. It is tucked away in a peaceful environment. You walk through nature trail to get to the restaurant. Service was great with friendly staff, food was wonderful and the ambiance simply unforgettable.
