We decided to go for sushi on Friday night at OB but it's most definitely the last time. We sat at the sushi bar but there was nothing on the conveyor belt so had to order off the menu. When we eventually got our order we were very disappointed, the pieces were miniature compared to other places and the Mediterranean... More

I go simpler, I have karma with bread and sometimes sole and chiops, I like my sauce on the side. The children eat plates and plates os sushi. Everyone leaves happy, not too expensive, not stuck inside, usually side at the wide opening that accommodates many tables with a view onto the activities on the square.

Highly recommend the seafood platter with shrimp, fish, calamari, mussels, rice, and fries for two! The platter came with a ton of super delicious seafood, and it totally hit the spot after a day of traveling! Have a few beers and this platter, all set. Reasonably priced as well - a mussel salad and a seafood platter cost R365 (including... More

From entering I knew it was going to be unpleasant. All the waiters just assumed we were with some group that was booked at the back and every time we asked for a table they kept taking us the group. We eventually decided on a table ourselves and sat. The service was extremely slow and bad. The waitress kept telling... More

If you consider this as a chain restaurant, then Ocean Basket Brooklyn is very good! I opted for the fish and chips, which at R59 is an absolute bargain! The rest of the family chose prawns, mussels and the monkfish and everything was well presented and delicious!

OK, this is a chain but the seafood is fantastic. We visited for lunch and only wanted a light meal but it was so good, we ended up with three courses each. Nice open venue, lovely decor, exceptional staff. Had Don Pedro for desert. Each of us had a different seafood meal and each was delicious. Perfectly prepared and served.... More

Wanted a platter for two for one person and received a platter for one. Order incorrectly taken. Asked for lemon butter etc on the side but not so. Asked for grilled fish and calamari, fish was grilled, calamari was fried. Something went very wrong. Two other business colleagues had completely different orders. Not so busy, but the food took a while... More

My family from UK insist on a meal at this restaurant on each visit. With the exception of my wife, who finds the chips simply awful, we found it still delivered good value. Piped music from Greek vocalists tends to drown conversation. Reduced volume could improve the ambience. Not a place for a quiet meal.
