Two of the meals at our table where the Steak and Kidney pie and Beef and Guinness pie. Both had been reheated, which made the kidney particularly bad, together with the undercooked bacon fat and anything but real "meaty source" made for an inedible. There was not a manager in sight, when complaining for the second time the waitress eventually... More

The best bangers and mash outside of Ireland. Gets a bit noisy on a Friday night but still a good evening out with excellent food. Staff are very friendly. Try the lamb shanks too. Just falls off the bone with tenderness

We were staying in a wonderful B&B in the area and found this wonderful Irish Pub quite by chance and all I can say is it was a wonderful find! We were in the area for a week and loved this quaint little spot so much that we returned for lunch and dinner several times. Everything we tried was very... More

I had lunch at the Brazen Head last week. The management does not reinforce the laws about smoking in public places so I found that my colleague and I had to go upstairs to escape the disgusting efffluent of said smokers. We did however have an excellent brace of pies, steak and kidney and beef in guiness. Super. But please... More

We went for dinner on two occasions. Relaxing atmosphere. Enjoyed the food. Some game evening on whilst trying to have dinner. Service average. Value for money.

Fair priced beers and a decent menu save this place from its horrific service. Be surprised if you get what you ordered within 45 min and never expect them to check back on you. Be prepared to waive them down constantly. Usually the decor is pretty good and make you feel a taste of Ireland, but too few authentic Irish... More

We went to an Ale Expo at George Lea Park, which was very disappointing and wanted some lunch. Feeling like some beer and place to watch the motor GP, we went to the Brazenhead off Grayston Drive. We were seated quite quickly, but it took another 15 minutes to be asked for drinks - we actually had to go inside... More

Power went out at home and was hoping to watch a couple of games of football on a Saturday afternoon. Searched around and found this place on the edge of Sandton. Good crowd, staff and a few screens. Also a good selection of beer and pub food if settling in for a few games. I'll be back for the big... More
