Kong Tai has a large menu and we ordered the hot and sour soup, sushi, and beef in black bean sauce, I enjoyed every bite! Their service is terrible and thus, I do not think I will ever go back - lackluster attitude of staff and not attentive at all, some items were brought to the table mid-meal. There are... More

Took family for a birthday celebration. Treated royally , great food , great service they even conjured up a "surprise" birthday desert with no warning.

Had dinner here tonight - excellent service, excellent food and generous portions. Will definitely return for another quality meal.

We went to this restaurant for a birthday (8 people) and with the large lazy susan in the middle of the table, this was a perfect place. Sharing is definitely the best thing to do in a place like this and every dish was delicious. I can't imagine going with just one other person...you want to order several things and... More

Kong Tai has been going for a long long time, and it sets the bar for Chinese food, whether eat-in or takeaway. The atmosphere inside is comfy, no frills utilitarian - the tables by the huge windows overlooking the suburb to the east are the ones to go for - good views and lovely natural light. The menu is vast,... More

The service, quality of food and portion size has dropped while the prices have increased. We were always having to look for our waiter, food took long because there was a special for Suchi take away.... Sorry but I thought customers at the restaurant should take preference. Very disappointed with my signature 4x4 Suchi. Will think twice before making another booking.

We have the Entertainer App, and you receive a main course complimentary when you purchase a main course. So we had two Chinese dishes because that is the only main course meal we could have to use the special for, and on top of that still paid a fair bit including the discount of using the app. And we were... I bought a Groupon voucher for this place. It was the second time I was going there. The food was ok, we had a sushi platter for two and we also ordered some dumplings (truly excellent) but we wait more than 10 minutes before someone came and took our drinks order and the place was not full at all. We... More

If you enjoy chinese food and familiar with their decor, approach, food style and enjoy the same, then go here. If you are a fine dining class person, who is specific to certain standards, sorry this is not your place. Decor : Neat, Chinese with breakaway rooms for private parties. Got some seatings overlooking Rivonia road Location : At the... More
