One of the best restaurants in Durban for curries and breyanis. Food is outstanding and service is good. Waiting times can be a bit long but its worth the wait. I had the mutton bunny and it was delicious. Bread was fresh and the portion...More

Enjoyed a relaxed dinner at Orientals. We ordered a mixed grill platter and a mutton bunny. The bunny is definitely a must try! Whilst the decor is rather dark, the place is clean with good service and great food. A must visit if you are...More

The workshop has aged over the years. However, the Orientals restaurant has just gotten better and better. Underground parking takes you directly to the restaurant. Cheap rates. R10 for over an hour. Restaurant offers everything from breyani to fish curry. Huge portion sizes of breyani,...More

They never fail to deliver. Food is always on point. I love the tikka chicken cubes. The mutton curry is a must-have. I wish they could make food a bit hotter in taste but it’s ok if you have it with some vinegar chilies

The Umhlanga branch is just dismal. Just a few tables if you are eating in..very dirty. Curry tastes like it's mass produced and the roti is like paper. This used to be a great restaurant but it's sad to see it's passed it's prime.

Tour guides took us here for lunch inside the prior train station. Food was excellent and just exactly the curry meal experience we hoped for while in Durban. We both had curry chicken dishes. Service was okay. Atmosphere was noisy and a bit crowded. Very...More

This was a first time visit to Oriental Restaurant at The Workshop. For those who haven't visited this place it's off the main ground level open space and below all the banks on the 1st floor. Kevin and I ate at take away section of...More

After having not visited The Oriental Kitchen situated at The Workshop Shopping Centre in central Durban for many years, I frequented the restaurant for a quick lunch. The mutton breyani was absolutely awful since the pieces of mutton were cheap, bony chunks with hardly any...More
