We try to go there for special, occasions and have never been disappointed. The food pairing with wines is a highlight and always a pleasant surprise. Not all dishes will always be to everyone's taste but there are more delicious dishes than the odd one that they might not enjoy as much as the others. Always a good choice.

It was a nice relaxing evening. The restaurant was quiet, but neatly nestled away in a popular suburb. The food and service was great, and I would definitely visit again.

A recent fine dining Valentine's celebration was marred by an overall lack of attention to detail. My wife and I attended the restaurant for the first time on Saturday 13 February 2016 with high hopes. Unfortunately theses hopes were dashed almost immediately when our waitress insisted on us having to choose a starter from a set menu with wine pairing.... More

Saturday, 3 October 2015, my Daughter and future, Son-in-Law, spoilt us with a marvellous evening of, "fine dinning", at the Prue Leith Chef's Academy. The, event commenced with a choice of Starters, in my case I could not resist the soup, which was a remarkable blend of flavours and most appreciated. The menu comprises four courses, as my 63 year... More

Four of us had dinner here last Saturday evening and the food, presentation and service was very good. My only complaint is that the portions are a little small. It is not a cheap restaurant so I do not really want to go home and have a snack after a three course meal! And by the way I am a... More

This was one of those awkward moments in my life... Having grown up in Pretoria I was so surprised to find this 'new' place - not even knowing that it had been around for some time. That being said, I have been living abroad for quite some time and my experience at this establishment has restored my faith in somewhere... More

We have been to the chef's academy quite a few times and it is consistently good. Great French-based cooking from a kitchen staffed with students under supervision. The menu is limited, but absolutely great and the wine list is superb. It may be hard to find, but it is really worth it. Just be warned - they're closed from beginning... More

At last an establishment that respect the ingredients and the theater of food!! The meal was wonderful with numerous surprises during the evening. The plating immaculate. The service - Charles - was warm friendly, efficient and not over bearing. The atmosphere quiet and serine. The setting great and relaxing. More eateries need to raise their standards to this level. For... More
