Extremely friendly staff, but not worth it when it comes to the food. We thought that given that it's in the Taj Hotel and the fact that there is a good Indian population, that the food would be outstanding. Es not at all. Desserts are...More

Went to Bombay Brasserie on a freezing evening, and one of the most pleasant evenings ever. Amazing food, great service and the staff, Rahjan in particular went out of his way to make us feel even more welcome. The ambience really makes you want to...More

Bombay Brasserie serves some of the best Indian food outside of India. I've been to India and failed to find anything as good. In fact I love Indian food and enjoy cooking and experimenting with those marvelous fragrant flavours. Maybe one day I might be...More

Fine dining. Vegetarian starter options are great. Kulchas, Naans with South Indian curry options (such as Alleppy Prawn curry) for mains, topped with amazing desserts (sorbet, kulfi & gulab jamuns with ice cream options). Augmented by great service. A nice family evening... :)

What an amazing experience. The food was sensational and not badly priced (although R65 for steamed rice is crazy). We particularly loved the lamb cubes (spicy and falling-apart-tender) and the dahl. The service was excellent - less snooty than I remembered it being a few...More

The menu is delicious. Not your traditional Indian food, but amazing flavors like never experience before. Conveniently located in the Taj Cape Town. On my first night, I wanted to book a reservation, the restaurant was full, but the staff was able to get me...More

The traditional Indian food served at this restaurant is delicious. The spicing is subtle and absolutely perfect. I can still taste the tikki potatoes with apricot jam and the masala lamb chops were grilled to perfection. Having a meal at this restaurant is a must.

I eat Indian food wherever I go worldwide, so on these occasions I try to find a good Indian to go to - this is one of the best! I had black dal, basmati rice and Chicken Tikka - all excellent. I woudl have eaten...More

In peak traffic it will take no more than 10 minutes from the harbour area to the restaurant. You have the added advantage of having the Company Gardens & Iziko museum across the road and Bo-Kaap a 10-15 minute walk up the... More
