Old favorite in Harfield village. Friends went for early supper, great spring rolls for starters. What I like about Thai world is their consistent uses of fresh vegetables in there dishes, combine this with good portion size and you are in for an enjoyable authentic Thai meal. Wine list, adequate but not fantastic so if you are really fussy take... More

We have been to this place numerous times and happen to also order a tofu red curry and tofu chilli paste and cashew stir fry.... Just awesome... Their Thai style is really hot and hits the spot of chilli lovers, like my husband and I.

First off let me just say that I have been to Thailand, so I know what Thai food can taste like. I loved the food when I was there. I went to Thai World for some take aways. Ordered my food and had a ice cold Singha while I was waiting. While enjoying my beer I had a great chat... More

Have been here before for a buffet and did not enjoy it but as we love Thai food we went on a busy Friday evening. Having read other reviews we did not let the somewhat curt greetings from the manager put us off. The watress was good and took our order of 2 typical Thai dishes. When they arrived they... More

Got the pad Thai vegetarian version with tofu, for two. Totally without taste, really disappointing. No chili, lemon instead of lime. Almost no vegetables and the tofu was a strange thing fried with batter and mixed with mushrooms. Total disappointment for over 100 Rand per portion. Would not visit again or order from here.

On our visits to SA, this restaurant is always on my list to pay a visit or three ! Its located in Harfield Village, Claremont & on this road there are a lot of other restaurants. Crispy Duck with all the lovely fresh veg & a nice prawn starter. They do very good Thai curry. I have eaten here for... More

This restaurant must be visited if you want to experience how not to get quality service. The owner/manager a small English man is the rudest I have ever experienced, bereft of personality, rude with an obvious dislike for having to deal with people. From the moment my wife arrived with no greeting, just the comment "take away or sit down... More

We took some classic thai dishes and they were tasty (more than average and less than very good). Our waitress was very gracious and kind. The atmosphere was pleasant. Sadly, they don't offer salads on the menu. We'll go again as we live nearby and we enjoyed the food.

Nice outdoor seating for those windless summer's evenings. The thai green curry did not disappoint. Memories of visits to Thailand came flooding back. We would definitely recommend Thai World for authentic Thai food. Ignore the outdated decor. The food is well priced and tasty!

When ever I want a home cooked quality Thai meal this is where I head, the chairs are uncomfortable, the decor hasn't changed in 15 years and at times nooch the owner can be difficult... But, the food is a good as a meal in Thailand... I love the beef massman curry and the phad tai chicken ... Together they... More
