This restaurant is literally a hole in the world. However, the cuisine is terrific and the decor is charming (and the place is spotless). You won't find better Ethiopian food outside of Ethiopia.

Really small restaurant - would recommend booking as it was really busy when I went, and a lot of customers had to be turned away as there was no space inside or outside for anymore people. Never had Ethiopian food before and it was really tasty, we ordered the chicken dish and a mixed veg platter to share between 2... More

After researching a proper "African" food experience all other places in Cape Town "cash in" on the tourists and charge outrageous prices. This seemed to be a nice place that had normal restaurant prices, BUT when we got our portions it was really, really, really - small. This seems to be consensus on the Ethiopian food in general. we ordered... More

Beautiful people, fantastic food and what an experience! Wonderful night out. We loved the fact that it felt like visiting someone's home and eating with our hands was enormous fun. Will be back soon.

Sweet little place serving a very good food, good service with a smile. Brought back many nice memories of my time in Addis. A must in Cape Town city centre.

This is a little gem of a restaurant in the city bowl. Only a few tables, family run and really charming. It has been around a few years and is a treat not to miss if you have the time. Be ready to eat in the traditional manner with your hands.

We waited a very long time and the meats are tasteless and undercooked. Having lived in Ethiopia, I have not found the taste of authentic.
