I was excited when I discovered Cassis about 10 years ago. Elegant, fresh and delectable. Unfortunately this is no longer the case. The macaroons and large cakes look like they were made by a stand-in-cook. Even the decoration on the cakes is shabby. What a disappointment. Have they changed ownership since they started?

Very convenient in a lovely shopping centre. An extensive menu to suit all tastes & catering for various times of the day.The food was well & efficiently served and was outstanding.

I remember coming to visit my then fiancé in Cape Town in 2012 before the café part of Cassis had opened - he would always stop off and get us some delicious eclairs - a sweet treat to look forward to. Now 4 years later, it is time to face the fact that Cassis is a far cry from what... More

Cassis has a captive audience with its position right bang in the centre of the busy Garden Centre but my last several visits were extremely disappointing for a variety of reasons, despite my complaints each time! Cassis has a wide-ranging menu and it is popular at all times for breakfast, morning coffee, lunch and afternoon tea. The first two problems... More

What has happened to the sophisticated little gem that made every visit to Gardens Centre worth it? Cassis embodied a smart, effortless delicacy that only a few of Cape Town's restaurants offer, but now it has lost its soul. Joyless presentation accompanied by base versions of the formerly enticing menu items, coming here now requires a deep breath and a... More

The service is shocking, the wait for both the meals and drinks was very long, the meals were disastrous, the drinks were served in chipped glasses. the entire experience was not pleasant.

I would give this restaurant a miss for meals, the food is not great, and it's pricey for what you get....for me it has lost it's charm, the decor used to be so much better..not sure... More
