I love going to The Blue Cafe. It is a little hidden and peaceful gem in the madness we call Cape Town. Sometimes the service can be a bit off, but that doesn't keep me from going back every now and then. If you want good coffee, good food, a good view and a nice street cafe like vibe then... More

Tucked away in a totally residential neighborhood, this little gem is precious. Good food, convivial local clientele and fresh food. Wish we had found it sooner. We stayed at nearby Underberg Guesthouse and it was a lovely evening stroll. Felt like a local!

We wanted a simple meal on the late side one evening during our stay, and this place totally fit the bill. Within walking distance from our inn, this cafe is a neighborhood spot away from the Kloof Street crowd. Our server seemed a bit dour, but shortly after he took our order two other people checked in with us to... More

On arrival into Cape Town we decided to stop here for breakfast following a recommendation from our hosts. It didn't disappoint. Very tasty breakfasts and it has a very friendly atmosphere. Would highly recommend if in the area.

Located in a lovely neighbourhood street the blue cafe spoils us with it's delicious food and drinks. My family and I go there often for a quick meal or something to drink and I can definitely recommend it. The blue cafe also has a little shop and their ice - cream is to die for. The service is very friendly... More

A great local breakfast spot in Tamboerskloof. Off the tourist map completely. Everything is delicious, especially the turkish toasted sandwiches.

Our B & B recommended The Blue Cafe and I'm glad they did. Just a few minutes walk with delicious food. I'm only sad there were no tables outside. I have food allergies and there were great options for me to choose from. Would go back!

Hidden away in a quiet residential street, this small neighbourhood favourite offers a pleasant break from the frenzy of Kloof Street. It serves light meals from breakfast to supper, specialising in excellent thin-crust pizzas. Decor is pleasantly funky and service is friendly and efficient.

Located in a quiet neighbourhood street in Tamboerskloof, just outside the City Centre of Cape Town ... with sidewalk tables and umbrellas, serving great quality coffee and fresh food ... salads, sandwiches and great breakfasts. With a super efficient team of staff, special mention to JT and Leroy for their never-ending big smiles, this place is a quiet escape from... More

We love returning to this little gem whenever we are in Cape Town. Relaxed personable service, fantastic quality food and great quiet location. This is always our first stop when we arrive in the city as it's peaceful and we know that we can relax (normally over a couple of bottles of wine) Well done guys!

Thank James G
