Walked up the hill from pretty Bo Kaap to find a truly amazing view of Table mountain and Lions Head and authentic no frills cape Malay cuisine. We enjoyed Tasty savoury platter Bobotie and a tasting platter.

Bo Kaap Kombuis has a great atmosphere and a beautiful view of Table Mountain and of the colorful houses in Bo Kaap. We ordered three different dishes which were packed with flavour. The aroma and the taste of the food was delicious, so we could...More

Roti was good but curry's only average. Portion sizes small in the platters - old man at till was a bit sarcastic when I didn't leave a tip. View is OK but probably won't return or recommend.

We had lunch at the Bo Kaap Kombuis. A lamb curry cost 95 ZAR excluding the side order for which 15 ZAR was charged. Value for money wise (we were there with a family of four) it was very very poor. It felt like the...More

Great restaurant with an amazing view! The food was really good - we shared a few platters of different tasters so had a good view of plenty of the dishes. If we go back I'll definitely order a main of only the denningvleis, amazing food.

Our tour guide had made reservations for a late lunch here during our tour of Cape Town. Finding it was a bit of a challenge due to one way streets and it is not anywhere you are going to be able to walk to -...More

The service was good, and the views magnificent. We booked and were told we could only have the buffet at R230 per head as they were fully booked. This proved not to be the case, the restaurant was not even half full. We ordered soft...More

Nope. In keeping with the Muslim faith of the owners and this traditional and historical area within Cape Town - it is inappropriate to serve alcohol.

There are dishes that are not hot. There were people in our group who did not eat spicy food, and they were able to enjoy several dishes. But I am not sure whether there are dishes without any chilli at all.
