We had dinner on a Saturday night and was told that it will be a buffet dinner. We saw many good reviews of the restaurant When we arrived I saw an empty table for 2 that was closer to the window. I requested for that...More

Disappointed as I really wanted to like this restaurant. Food was average for everyone in my party, service was painfully slow for all the courses we had. We were given the chai for free but by that time we had had enough. Shame, and we...More

I decided to visit after reading the positive reviews. I ordered the tasting platter and it really was "meh". I've had much better elsewhere. The denning vleis was probably the best but that was average at most. Extremely disappointing.

The food was tasty and the service good. The views from the restaurant were wonderful. Table Mountain, Lions Head, The Mother City, Bo Kaap and more. The food we found to be tasty with its mild curry flavours. The roti was excellent and home made....More

I only gave 4 stars because the service was a bit awkward - there was a birthday party and they did a buffet style dinner but the buffet didn't open until 7 pm when our reservation was for 6:30 pm and they didn't tell us...More

I went there to get some genuine Cape Malay food and was not disappointed. I chose the lunch buffet to be able to sample and was quite pleased. Great bobotie. Also the views over Bo Kaap, Cape Town Central and Table Mountain are fantastic.

We walked the steep cobbled streets from our apartment in de Vaterkant, which was a great way to get there. The restaurant was quiet, busy and had the most amazing view, at sunset, of charming Bo Kaap, the city and Table Mountain. The food was...More

This would be my number one stop for lunch in all of Cape Town. The food was excellent and the owners were so inviting. I would highly recommend this location.

Not sure if they do breakfast. But rather do and early lunch or dinner. There is a great view across to Table mountain and you will not be disappointed. Remember if you are there on a Friday afternoon they will be closed for... More

Nope. In keeping with the Muslim faith of the owners and this traditional and historical area within Cape Town - it is inappropriate to serve alcohol.

There are dishes that are not hot. There were people in our group who did not eat spicy food, and they were able to enjoy several dishes. But I am not sure whether there are dishes without any chilli at all.
