Great food, super friendly & attentive staff and amazing coffee at affordable prices…We came here almost daily whilst staying across the road at the DoubleTree by Hilton.

We were staying across the street at the DoubleTree by Hilton and stumbled upon this unexpected little delightful place. We had tasty Quesadilla, Grilled Chicken Sandwich and some nice Croissants. The service was informal but efficient and friendly. No complaints and we would love to...go back again. It suited us perfectly for what we wanted to start our day. The host was very friendly and he greeted us with many insights of Cape Town and the things the city can offer.More

I was staying across the street at the DoubleTree Hilton, felt too tired to go very far but wanted a change of scenery from the hotel. This unexpected little place is delightful. They don't have a full menu but I had a WONDERFUL quesadilla, toasted...just right, with a nice amount of chicken and cheese. (I wouldn't have said no to more guacamole to go with it, but I didn't ask so there's that.) Ordered a bottle of wine (you take what's left with you) and sat upstairs where I had a lovely view as the sun went down. The service was informal but efficient and friendly. No complaints and I will go back. It suited me perfectly for what I wanted at the end of a long week.More

This place is great. It is right across the street from the Doubletree Hilton. They have coffee and terrific quiches and other breakfast items. Their handmade fresh juices are terrific and a steal at 15 Rand. The prices were super affordable and the staff very...friendly.More

We ordered two beef burgers, for take away. When we received our "burgers" we got a hot dog roll , cut in two. This behavior is absolutely disgusting !! If el greeyo did not have any burger rolls left , the order should not have...been accepted. Above that the "burger" or rather hot dog , was completely soggy, the roll was completely wet at the bottom.Again .. disgusting!! I would not advise anyone to eat here if this is the "pride" they take in preparing food. I am in total shock that any establishment would do this.More

I decided to try this little Cuban cafe after over sleeping the first night of my recent stay in Cape Town. The place was across the street from my hotel. So I thought a few seconds in the rain was worth it if I could...get a decent cup of coffee. What I got was a great view of Table Moutain while enjoy a delicious veggie quiche and salad and yummy coffee called Melado, made with honey and ginger. After enjoying that I thought I would test to see if they made a good cup of plan coffee with warm milk added by me...it was perfect. Not at all bitter and a good pairing with my almond croissant. The food, coffee and atmosphere was so nice I went back the next day for a late afternoon breakfast. The veggie omelet was perfectly cooked, nothing like the rubbery one I got the following day at my hotel. The staff is great. I enjoyed chatting with them when the moments permitted. They were the extra bonus to the cafe. I stopped by the cafe for one last cup of Melato before my flight out. While in the cafe I bumped into the owner/proprietor...he is a really nice guy. Being me, I had to take a few pics with the guys and the owner before leaving. I've told my friends in Cape Town they have to try the place...to the cook, YUMMY!More
