Great service and food, with so much yumminess on the menu that I’ll be back soon... It was very busy and that’s testament to the continued popularity... We ordered a wide selection of starters and everything was great.

The service made this one! The food itself is very good and unusual, featuring dishes we’d never seen on any Chinese/Thai/pan Asian menu. But it was the staff who made this experience a great one. Our waiter was lovely and gave us great advice regarding...More

Our Australian visitors were blown away with the delicious food at Saigon. From the Tempura Veg, through Ostrich, Lamb and Duck we were treated to beautiful flavours....with the Ginger Kingklip taking the grand prize. Excellent service, views and food.

Excellent food in Kloof Street - we initially expected it to be Vietnamese, but were surprised with the variety of Asian food. All selections were of high standards and not too pricey.

The food was very nice! Everything was made perfect and it didn't take long. The desserts have been very delicious as well. It's inside a bit noisy. Service was very friendly and experienced. Can highly recommend this restaurant.

Saigon in Cape Town has become one of the hot spots. With magnificent views of Table Mountain and their soft, muted lights, Saigon has acquired the perfect ambience. The Vietnamese decor is done elegantly without giving the restaurant a themed feeling. The menu is mainly Vietnamese with Japanese influences. Starters to try includes the Grilled Chicken Skewer and do-it-yourself Lettuce Wraps accompanied with prawns, fresh herbs, noodles and sweet chilli sauce. Some of the more popular Main Courses are the Chicken Cashew Nuts, their Spicy Beef Basil with chilli sauce and the Saigon Ginger Fish covered in a batter. All the Main Courses can be served with rice or noodles. Saigon's exotic Deep-Fried Ice Cream is a must if you have space after your lavish First and Main Courses. The ice cream is deep-fried with a batter casting and then served with their honey syrup. Holding its own between the many restaurants in Kloof Street, this is one of those restaurants were one should book in advance as it is always busy no matter what day of the week it is.
